What would be the outcome? Do you believe that if the US writes a new constitution and officially declares that we are now a Christian theocracy, God will pour out His Spirit and the whole country will repent and turn to Christ? I'm curious to hear how people envision this all playing out.
an official declaration wouldn't do it. that is only words. action only does it. 2nd Chronicles 7:14 must be abided by now & forever. we all know now it was a mistake 100's of years ago to let anybody & everybody into the U.S. & say, think & do whatever you want & practice any religion you want. God certainly is not going to let everybody in heaven. so there is the lesson learned.

But if the US commits itself to become a Christian nation, puts it in writing and starts passing laws that are based on God's word, won't that cause God to pour out His Spirit and lead to mass repentance and turning to Him?
In reality, nearly all our constitutional laws ARE based on Biblical law/principles, or God's word.

Okay, so no one here is for the US becoming a Christian nation officially? I've heard a lot of noise but nothing so far about what the advantages and benefits will be to the country. If we're going to do something as drastic as amending the Constitution, shouldn't we have some idea of why and what the payoff will be?
Continued, strawman silliness.

What is your game?

But if the US amends the Constitution to make the country a Christian nation, wouldn't that move God to pour out His Spirit, leading to a nationwide revival and turning to God? This is what a lot people believe. Would you say they're wrong, and if so, why?
firstly, such an amendment will never take place. you're an intelligent man; you know how intentionally difficult it is to amend the Constitution.

lastly, altering the method of governance doesn't change the hearts of a people. is God supposed to reward such a thing with revival? tit-for-tat? sounds silly, childish even, as if He would then owe us something?
i think we'd be better off, as believers, seeking God on our faces, pleading for mercy. i often think of Daniel 9, and Daniel's prayer... "While I was speaking, praying, confessing my sin and that of my people Israel...".

we'd be better off doing this, in my opinion, and waiting for our Lord's response.

Bingo. You can declare the US a Christian nation and pass all the laws you want, but if people don't turn to God willingly and repent first, God has no reason to heal the land. Christian nationalists have it all backwards. What is going to happen if they get into power, is they will start exercising their power to persecute anyone who won't go along with their program. That's the way I see it playing out.

Yes, it is difficult to amend the Constitution, but not impossible; given the right circumstances and conditions anything's possible. People fell prey to the Nazis because they simply couldn't believe they were as evil as they were.

brother, you're doing what i call "future-tripping". it's worrying about things that haven't happened yet, and may never happen. it's easy to do, i know from my own past, and it's exhausting.

hope in God! has He ever failed you? of course not. place your trust in Him and know that whatever befalls us, He's with us, and for us. who can be against us? :)

You have a kindly heart sister.

But I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any fear of Christians taking over the country and writing a new Constitution.

It seems whatever he can do to hurt republicans is the motivation. Trying to sway decent, America loving, Christians away from the GOP, or to get them to stay home on election day is his goal.

I believe you are spot on with your analysis.

What baffles me is that IF they prevent Trump from becoming president again.... what are we left with? Someone that espouses Marxist doctrine, promotes the perversion of sexual mores through dissolution of gender, LGBTQ values, promotes the continued mass slaughter of babies in the womb up to and including birth, has vowed to disarm Americans.... the list goes on.

Are these rabid anti-Trumpers really ok with that?

What I don't understand is they knee capped Bernie because he was too radical and they knew it. They gave him another cottage in Vermont and he shut up and got in line with "moderate" Biden. Now they're willing to take Kammy and all "the Squad" hateful hens and turn them loose. It's insane to me.

I'd say more like Alice in Wonderland. Never liked that movie.
Very true.
For every action there is a reaction.
If they want to make a mockery of the human senses and say that a 'guy with a dress is a woman' then yeah, expect a Christian Theocracy next. This is how the tides of history work.

When you're faced with this guy being called "a woman" then of course expect a strong reaction.

A power hungry person will use whatever means he or she can. For some that means a Christian theocracy.

Having that said, sliding from one ditch to the other seems to be something humans are doing by default.

The nation appears to have gone to hell but there remains a threat that it will go to hell... or remain in hell... However it will be, it is what you, the citizen, (has or will) make of it. I don't have much of a yard to keep, but I've managed to create a little paradise out of what I do have, all using what God has provided for me.

And we are witnessing JUST that with the full on re-manufacturing process of Kamala Harris.... the woman that couldn't even win in her own state, and who has had a worse approval rating than Biden, who now has become Joan of Arc for the whole liberal socialist party.

All because "she ain't Trump".... That is TDS by definition.

I never liked Joe Biden, ever. But I must admit that his endorsement of Kamala after the coup was absolutely brilliant. 'Bama and Killery are eating their tongues right now!

What I hear more and more in the US is that Christianity is "under attack." Of course it's not, not really
What's this then?
FBI Under Pressure for Targeting Catholics in Leaked Document - Newsweek

And what's this?
FBI, DHS warn faith-based communities ‘will likely continue’ to be targets of violence | CNN Politics

No one is proposing any changes to the US Constitution to make it s Christian theocracy. At the same time no one can deny that the Constitution is rooted in Christian principles of liberty and justice for all, and the rule of law.

What should concern you more is the trashing of the Constitution by the Leftists in America. These are domestic enemies who are determined to destroy America, and its history.

What I don't understand is they knee capped Bernie because he was too radical and they knew it.
Bernie is a committed Communist, and had no business being in the Democrat party to begin with. But his Communist agenda coincided with that of Obama's (and was used by Biden), and Biden was substituted by Obama who knew he had an incapable person to manipulate from behind the screen. Harris was put there for only three reasons: (1) she was a radical Left-wing extremist, (2) she was a woman (DEI), and (3) she was "black" (once she shed her Indian identity).

After Biden showed the world his total incompetent persona, the Democrats decided to illegally "anoint" Kamala, even though she can't put a sentence together. All of a sudden, the fawning media are now presenting her as a wonderful alternative to Trump. But she has run away from an open debate with Trump, and he needs to make the most of that.

Zero Policies on Kamala Harris Website -- 2 Weeks into Campaign (breitbart.com)

People are getting distracted with peripheral issues when policies are what really matter. Of course when you have a Communist regime already in place and you will steal the election, policies won't matter. It is all about power.
