What's the most incredible Mystery that the Lord has shown you?
Off and on since I read your request yesterday, I've been pondering how to answer..
The problem I have with the question is that most think they are ready for
whatever God has... as if they were born mature, open, and spiritually discerning enough to grasp the very deepest concepts of God,
but in reality they aren't even able to discern the most basic aspects...
and they don't even realize it.
Does that sound like an attempt to be grandiose? I'm guessing it does. So let me give an example:
Most people don't even know how to discern the Spirit of God.
They CLAIM to. They quote scriptures that talk about how to discern the Spirit... But when it gets right down to it they cannot tell you
concretely and unwaveringly if a single person beyond the end of their nose HAS or DOESN'T HAVE the Spirit of Christ / the Holy Spirit / the Holy Ghost.
Most of the mysteries of God require that basic discernment.
Then they usually reverse their position and claim
nobody can discern whether another person has the Holy Ghost or not. Well, that reversal just means they're admitting they don't know whether their pastor is of God or not because
Romans 8:9 says "Now
if any man have not the Spirit if Christ, he is none of his."
That inability to truly discern the spirit of God in a person puts them at tremendous risk... And disqualifies them from claiming they are ready to understand the mysteries of God that are based on that basic discernment.
Yes, that means I won't share some of the heavier mysteries until I know you've solved that one (by seeking God). But
NO, that
doesn't mean God is unwilling to show you... or that I think you aren't able to receive it, or anyone else is unable to receive understanding of the mysteries of God IF THEY ASK GOD SINCERELY, etc. It just means that I stand behind the implications of my OP... It is worth seeking
God until
HE answers, and I encourage people to do so with their whole heart rather than flippant requests.
PLEASE NOTE: That was not an attempt to paste your request to me as flippant. It was to clarify that if a person truly wants God to answer, they need to seek God with an appropriate level of respect and seriousness. (I'd searched "flippant" to assure its meaning).
