If i should die today, let it be in peace,
knowing that i have done all that i can to be a blessing;
Reaching to hearts far and wide, both blacks and whites,
from both sides proclaiming hope to souls that need caressing;

May my death not be one experienced in the agony of regret,
May i sigh in relief as i take my last breath;
Knowing that hearts have been fed, souls mended, and lives changed
because i walked selflessly as i took each step;

Tis this my plea my God to thee, let me not live for me my self and I,
But the earth should groan as it looses one of its own, if today be the day that I die.

My husband is facing death right now as I write, and his only prayer is that people he knows have found the One who can feed them, mend their souls and change their lives.

It is not so much how he has walked - but how he has prayed for them. And WHO they have found.

That is only how he is looking at facing death at 84. He has always known that He really has no power. But he is a prayer warrior.

Dear sister, i am sorry to hear about your husband, but also happy to know that he knows the one who is all powerful. I will indeed pray for you both, God be glorified, and thank you soo much for this comment, no matter what we face in life, May our lives bring God glory and be a blessing.
