You know Jimsun, last year I tried to write a llist of every significant memory I had regardless of why it was significant. I tried really hard because I was really trying to prove to myself that things weren't as bad as they seemed. Well, I did prove something. Things were worse than they seemed. I finally gave up after the 18th page of bulletted memories. It was too depressing. I began the good memories and I dug deep. I even listed things that weren't necessarily good, but that were not negative. I ended with two positive pages. I can't go by memories.
Positives
1.) My drug addict mother took my medical condition seriously during the early, and because she did, I am not retarded.
2.) My parents broke up when I was 3 which limited my father's private access to me.
3.) I chose to stay with my grandparents when I visited my dad beginning when I was 8 thus more or less ending his abuse of me.
4.) At the very time my mother decided that I she didn't need to care for me anymore, I found Jesus.
5.) By the grace of God and His working, I moved 500 miles away from my family when I was 17, and I have lived here since, effectively limiting their affect on me and giving mme a chance to realize the disfunction and heal.
6.) My grandmother was able to see me graduate college and visit me in the city one month before she died.
7.) I finally told my dad I knew he was a pedophile, and while I was gracious, I held nothing back.
