Many of you know I am divorced, few don't. Many of you probably don't know that I have three kids, two sons who are 5 and 1, and a daughter who is 3. I have reached a very crucial deciding point in my life containing these two factors, so like it or not you will hear more of my story because I could use all the prayer I can get...
I left my wife last march 2 days before my birthday because I found out she was cheating on me, multiple times with at least 2 different guys. I helped her pay for a lawyer hoping we could work things out with one lawyer, that was not the case. Before I knew it, she had custody of the kids, and was taking a lot of money from my paycheck every week despite getting paid a lot more than me. I hired my own lawyer and tried to gain joint custody and instead he put me into 800 dollars of debt on top of what I already paid him. So I fired him and gave up.
I knew my ex-wife had walked away from the church, and she had a boyfriend regularly staying with her. I knew something was making me uncomfortable but I couldn't place what it was. Last Friday while at work (I work 3rd shift) I got an overwhelming feeling around 12:00-1:00 to pray for my kids, so I did. Come Saturday someone gets a hold of me to let me know that around that exact time on Friday night/Saturday morning, they got a call from my ex-wife because her boyfriend attempted suicide, and when they called they next day her boyfriend was out of the hospital and alone with the kids. This person also went on to tell me that my ex-wife openly admits that she lies to me about everything that goes on. She also constantly drops the kids off with other people with no extra clothes, unbathed, and in dirty clothes.
This past September I started school, but I do believe I will stop for a while after this semester, in order to keep a closer watch on my kids. I know my ex will drop them off to me whenever I want them, so I will get to see them more and keep a closer eye on things, and if things don't improve, I may have to take more severe action, such as taking full custody.
Guys, I need all the prayer I can get on this. I may be stronger than I used to be, but I still don't feel a lot of it. I know when my ex asks why I'm quitting school I will not lie to her, and I will have her and her boyfriend trying to start a fight. Despite the fact that I'm not scared of either of them, I still worry, mostly about my kids. Again, please pray for me, and my kids. Also pray for my ex and her boyfriend that they can return to their relationships with Jesus, and harbor no bitterness against them.
