Yes, there is definitely the mark of the beast to be concerned about here...but: "Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.This calls for wisdom. So, is the mark of the beast is 666...not a cross. The cross is a sign of salvation, so I don't understand what all the antagonism towards it is.


Yes, as most human beings are right-handed. Makes sense. Are all right-handed people marked on the right hand by the sign of the beast? Since when was the cross a mark of the devil? The sign of the cross is an affirmation of the triune God: "In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit." The Trinity isn't evil.


St Francis is said to have heard the voice of God whilst meditating upon the crucifixion of Our Lord while gazing upon a Greek crucifix. Lot's of non-Catholics also believe God has spoken to them. Just because the beast has some weird talking statue, it doesn't mean God can't communicate to Christians when they are in proximity to one.


Pont.Max. is an abbreviation for Pontificus Maximus. The numerological value here is: I + I + V +X + I + V = XXIII, or 23. Not 666. Way off. Unless there is some new way to make numerology work out to rig it to come out to 666 that I am unaware of.


The Seven Hills of Rome are: Aventine, Caelian, Esquiline, Quirinal, Palatine, Capitoline, and Viminal. The Vatican is not one of the 7 Hills that Rome was founded upon.


The pope has been "in charge" of rome for way longer than 1260 years, if by Rome we mean the Vatican. The Papal states weren't in power for but like, oh,
1100 years. Besides 1260 days and 1260 years are not the same measures of time.


AntiChrist means Against Christ. Why and how would the antichrist be Like Christ and also opposed to him? Doesn't make since.

I disagree on one point: AntiChrist has the more ancient meaning of a false Christ. (Like the Lebanon Mountains and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains) His point however does not follow. Frankly, my concern is that there are many in every church who might easily be swayed.

I've seen so many candidates for anti-christ I've stopped trying to point a finger at him. There are many on Earth who adequately fulfill that potential, God only truly knows.
 
how does calling some1 rabbi prove that he is baptizied? and it makes my blood boil to see such a brainless remark, you are saved by faith and grace. baptism is a wonderful thing, it helps you along the road to get closer to jesus. what if i BELIEVE? so automatically if i was shot tomorrow (as im not baptised) im gonna go to hell?

that says the infant is with Jesus. it seems the cut off is 8 days old in the OT.

Genesis 17:12 For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner—those who are not your offspring. 14 Any uncircumcised male, who has not been circumcised in the flesh, will be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant."

in the NT its up to your conscience. early Christians would have interchanged physical circumcision for the baptismal circumcision. Colossians 2:11 In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism"

Peter wrote "and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge (or the response) of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ". the disciples didn't disagree. only modern Christians do.

This is all symbolism of what circumcision is. Every male who is eight days old must be circumcised. The foreskin was just the shadow. But what does it mean to be circumcised spiritually?

Jeremiah 9:25-26
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
26Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.

This is spiritual as well. spiritual Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab and all that are in the wilderness are uncircumcised in the flesh but circumcised in the heart. They hold to the faith of Jesus but they worship a man made image of god. Spiritual Israel are circumcised in the flesh, but not in the heart. They worship the true God but they lack the faith of Jesus and therefore are under the law.

Hebrews 4:1-12
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

We are told in the ten commandments to remember "His" Sabbath. In Genesis, the first six days ended with "and the evening and the morning were the (1st-6th) day." The seventh hasn't ended! The Day of the Lord is His eighth day and we must be circumcised both physically(keeping the spirit commandments of God) and in the heart (the faith of Jesus).

Ephesians 4:25-26
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Matthew 7:1-5

Why do you see the splinter in your brother's eye but not notice the log in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, `Let me take the splinter out of your eye,' when you have the log in your own eye? You hypocrite!
