No, they are not the same. The man of sin is us. We put ourselves as God. We don't need any special super being to be that. We got that one under control!

Abomination of Desolation. Did you read Mark 13:14 carefully? No? it says "Standing where IT ought not". It is not a person. That is a thing. An inanimate object.

Doulos got it right. There are ONLY 4 verses in Scripture that say the word antichrist five times. Also notice the word antichrist is not capitalized! He didn't say why the beast is a kingdom, nation or an empire. Dan 7 defines the beast as such.
