I am 60 yrs old, living in a foreign country (I am Australian), and it's hard to find fellowship with Christians here, especially my own age. Not looking for dating just fellowship.. Maybe some of you have some tips for me. I loved the old IRC chat rooms, but they seem to have disappeared.
Any seniors 55 plus hanging around just to chat?

There used to be some live chat rooms here but from what I can tell only one still remains. It's usually dead anyway. Live chat has pretty much gone extinct. Glad to have you here though; there are a lot of people here in your age range. Just post a thread on something that interests you and people will find you.
If you look on the top of the website, you will see "CHRISTIAN CHAT APP". Click on that and log in, using the same username and password, as the Christian Chat website. Then click on a chatroom and you are chatting.
I think the best way to find friendship is finding a hobby, that you like, and joining a group. If your desperate enough, join a group that your not interested in, and maybe you can find fellowship that.
Sometimes there are senior centers, that promote senior activity.

Well, what ever country your living, it sounds like it's not a place you like living in, since you can't even name in your post. Your profile says, your location is Australia, so I don't think I made a big mistake here. Ever think about moving back to your homeland?
Out of curiosity if you're willing to share, what has caused you to be living in a foreign country? How long have you been there? Are you in a location that has a significant expat population or are you mostly trying to have fellowship with local christians in a foreign language? Anyway, I first came to this site while I was living overseas and it helped me find some like minded people for fellowship so do stick around and we'll help as much as we can.
Hi, well, its not an easy thing to tell strangers, but thanks for being curious. I was living and working in Israel for several years, and my marriage to an Israeli broke down towards the end of last year. I had to leave the country because my visa was dependent on my married status. I came to live in Hoi An, Vietnam for an indefinite period. That's where I am now. I guess I chose Vietnam because it's beautiful and an easy place to live within my means. There are quite a few expats here, some of whom I mix with. We play pickleball together a cvouple of times per week. I havent met any Christians - local or otherwise.
Up in hanoi there's hanoi international fellowship, I think when I left about a decade ago they were looking at possibly starting something in da nang which would be closer to you, but you'd probably have to google or contact hif if they know of anything closer to your area.
