This isn't a dating site. So if all you care about it finding a random person to pretend to be your boyfriend it may be more well suited on another site. Most likely if you advertise yourself in a such a manner, all you'll get is older men from other countries wanting to marry you. No joke.

As Ugly stated in his reply, this is NOT a dating site, and there are alot of weirdos on here, including foreignors who would love to con you into sending them money so they can come to America and get a job. I've had some approach me asking to pay for a visa for them. You're 16, too young for a boyfriend, especially one you meet on the internet. I would advise you not to give out any of your personal info in a post, because this site is viewable to the entire online world AND is searchable on Google..
Why do you think everyone hates you?
I have a bit of a different approach to the others who have replied on here so far. You're searching for some kind of friend or more. I think the world has gone very digital now, and this is a much better place to search for a Christian guy as opposed to Craigslist or something similar, because your sheer odds of finding a Christian guy here are increased.
One piece of advice I can give to you is to try to get involved in activities that you like to do, and find guys to hang out with that way.
Also, as already stated, be careful how much information you share with people on here. So far, you've only stated your city in Texas, so I don't see a huge problem with this. Just don't give out your number, address, etc. Also, I would highly recommend involving your parents in this, if they are involved in your life. If not, then press into the Word of God, read John chapter 15, and commit yourself wholely to God, and from that place, ask God to send a Christian guy into your life, and He will ("If you abide in Me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you" - Jn 15/7). Feel free to message me if you would like more information and verses on faith and living your life committed to God and seeing His power in your life.
Never let anyone despise you because of your age. It's never too young to start living your life for God, and being used by Him. (Mt 18/3, Mt 19/4, Mt 11/25).

Actually what i said wasn't advice. This site is not meant to be used as a dating site. Yes, it does happen, but they don't want people coming to this site to seek out a mate.
Who is hating on her because of her age?
If what you wrote was not advice, why write it at all? This girl is looking for advice, so why give her just an opinion? I know that if I came to a website seeking advice, and someone wrote something other than advice, it would be frustrating for me.
Please, show me one place where I said that people were "hating" on her because of her age. I merely told her to not let people despise her because of her age, which is a Biblical principle, please refer to the Scriptures referenced in my post.
I do not know what the site's admin's preferences are, I'm just trying to give her advice that will be both practical and helpful.
She's looking for a single guy, as she stated in her OP. She could find alot of friends here, but this site is not meant for dating or looking for a potential bf/gf.. that's what Christian Mingle is for. As far as people hating her because of her age, that is silly and makes no sense whatsoever...
Maybe I've become too jaded with all the horror stories we hear, but has it occurred to everyone that this opening line is pretty fishy for a supposed 16yr old girl to start a thread with? Could be a 45 yr old guy who Chris Hanson missed.

Apparently what I wrote came off as saying that people were "hating" on her or being hateful towards her on here...that was never what I meant to say. I understand that others were just trying to warn her about the dangers of trying to find a guy online. My point of view was just saying that it is better to try to find someone here, rather than on a secular site (such as Craigslist), because although this site may have some bad people, it also has some good ones as well, something that I am not sure about in regards to other sites (although I'm sure they do). Bottom line, if you want a Christian friend/bf, it makes sense to try to find it on a Christian site.

I merely saw that she is 16, and wanted to remind her of a Biblical principle. If you read my original post, the context of what I wrote was in living her life for God and thus seeing His power...NOT on posting on a site and getting replies, NOT on trying to find a bf.

You're 16. Find dates locally or wait until you're older.

I don't they hate this person at all. Young people often incorrectly label displeasure with ungodly behavior as "hate." It's not.

I have been in that situation before and it wasn't until I taught in the children's ministry that I realized how important it was for the kids to communicate with the teachers and vice versa. I know it will not be an easy task, but very important.
