anyone else have this problem when going into the chat rooms???

Its common. Has been for a long time. It is very clique dominated. I rarely go in anymore unless i want to talk to someone specifically. And since most people i talk to rarely use it, i'm not in there much. Besides, they don't often talk about anything worth joining in anyways.

Well, I'm not really a cool person, but the cool people are very tolerant... that's what makes them cool.

yeah, I typically go into the random or yousing rooms cuz ppl actually talk to me in there lol. but yeah, no one seems to notice im there in the lounge. I don't think its right that they do that to ppl.
 
Right or wrong, that's how it is. And has been the entire time i've been on this site.
 
That was you? I wasn't aware. I had heard someone's voice i wasn't familiar with but i wasn't sure. If that was you, I would have said hey but I was probably in Facebook land so I didn't see. I apologize! I try to make an effort to talk to people who are active in the lounge.
 
There is cliques on this side of the site too. Kinda dumb, it's as if they put you on ignore when you talk or reply to them and you never met them. Oh well, don't worry about it is what I say. =)
 
Start in the forums let everyone get to know you then join the chat, and hopefully by then they have noted your existence. Otherwise stay here in the nice comfy forums, sip a mojito and enjoy the company.
 
I got some verbal abuse once for casually messing around with some emoticons. That was fun. :rolleyes:

Except that there is a gap between Chatters and Forum posters. There is a small overlap of those who do both, but even those that do both tend to focus on one more than the other. So really, getting known in one doesn't help you in the other.
