This was a movie character who was faking handicap to scam people for money. That's not an example of making fun of handicapped people

I don't know anything about that, but you know as well as I do that BOTH sides have more than their share of racist fools...
Those fools will attack anything that they think will give them "traction".... y'all being a mixed race couple just happened to be an easy "target" for the fools. If y'all were not mixed race, he would have likely picked on you... being a baldheaded white man... the fools pick the easy, obvious "target".
The black racists pick the fact that their opponents are white, and call them white devils, and other vile things...
Small minds will do that.... attack areas in which they differ, instead of having a more civil discussion about their disagreements.. that would take too much effort, and would cause them to have to examine their own thoughts and beliefs.
I'm sorry that happened to you, but you should be able to be angry at the one fool, and NOT categorize ALL people on that side as being the same way.... because we are not..... any more than all black people are like the fools that attack all whites.
We as believers should strive to strengthen our "agreements" and be able to agree to disagree on some things. Bottom line is that we believers are brothers and sisters, no matter what political views we hold...
