All men enter the world equal, but they don't go out equal. It depends entirely on how you live your life.

I disagree with your statement as a whole. You need to explain further. Yes in a way everyone is born equal in the sense no one person should be discriminated upon based on anything mental, physical, spiritual, or anything else you can think of. However, a baby born with a birth defect is not entering the world as an equal with any other baby except those born with the same defect. I am not saying that those born with birth defects are any less than anyone else just that they have entered the world at a disadvantage.

To answer the original question I don't think any one person is born better, is better than another, or is made better. Our situations and surroundings vary. Based on how you perceive others and your own situations/surroundings will decide what you classify as someone being born better or made better. If Joe Smith were to say a celebrity's child was born better than him because that child was born into money while he was not would be subjective. I on the other hand am happy with the financial situation I was born into and although it has not been full of money I am still happy and I don't think any one person is better than me nor am I better than anyone else.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:28)

(Acts 10:34-35) At this Peter opened his mouth and said: “For a certainty I perceive that God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him. .

Romans 2:11-"For God does not show favouritism."

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Personally, I don't view disabilities as a disadvantage. What is the disadvantage? I can only think wordly if I say they have a disadvantage and I may be wrong, but I don't think anyone is suppose to live worldly. I thought and do think we are suppose to live to glorify God and prove we are worthy to enter the gates of Heaven and have eternal life.

Do they have to live different while here on earth, yes, but they do not have a disadvantage in the eyes of the lord. Does that mean humans that are made to walk, talk, hear, eat, and see without assistance should treat those who were not as fortunate to have those luxuries as though they do not need assistance? No, of course not. The lords work is shown through the persons disability and the fortunates relations with the disabled.

John 9:2-7
2*And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3*Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4*We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. 5*As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6*Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud 7*and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.

Exodus 4:11
11*Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

2 Corinthians 12:9
9*But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Romans 5:3-5
3*Not only so, but we[a] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4*perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5*And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

1 Peter 5:10
10*And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

So, to answer the original question, I agree with the first response completely!

These verses don't all add to the argument. The only one that does is. Acts 10:34-35 it says God is not partial accept to the degree for which people are better based on merit. But your argument is cute.

lol I think they add argument! because if God doesn't show favoritism it means we are all born equal Its up to interputation lol

What then, is better? And who is to judge what is worse than what? ;)

Yes, but we are not to do deeds to be better, are we? :) We are to do them solely to please God

You're not living in the real world if you don't acknowledge disadvantages brought by disabilities. I think to say one person is better than another because of disabilities or their race or intelligence or gender, or physical strength, or beauty is evil. It's what the Natizs did. I believe that one is better based on true merit According to Acts 10:34-35. In other words, who pleases God better is better. check it. "For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He witholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly. Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you!" ~ God (Psalm 84) God's actions are conditional on your behavior, it's always been like that, all through the Bible. There are exceptions, such as the atonement, but that could also be considered conditional if God truely does value us enough to do such a thing based on rational. I don't claim to understand everything surrounding that occurance, I'm not sure...

I recognized that's what you were going for. It just doesn't work. I've heard many people say that to me. But it doesn't account for verses in the Bible where God treats people with wrath if they are evil, and grace if they are shown to be better somehow. Perfect example, Noah: God showed him favor. Why? I'm sorry for being rude.

God showed him favor because he was the last person on the earth who walked righteously didn't mean god loved him more than any one else

What made Noah better than the others that He would be spared? The Bible specifically says, "and God favored Noah" You can believe that God doesn't have reasons for what He does, but then you'd have to ignore this verse. "Yahweh has made everything for its own [purpose or end]-- yes, even the wicked for the day of evil." Proverbs 16:4

It's one thing to be better to be better, it's quite another thing to be better to brag about being better. I see nothing wrong with being better for the sake of being better. How can anyone be expected to do something solely to please God if they don't know Him. He doesn't show Himself so that we may love Him dearly as we are told we should.

It doesn't say there weren't other righteous men in that time (Gen 6:8->) although it does say the earth was filled with wickedness. And it also doesn't say that his family was righteous, which is interesting. Love is shown with actions, and God's actions was that of grace based on merit. I don't see how anyone can try to deny that much.

Ok, then I think we kind of agree,
However, one should be careful, as many tend to make "better" about human standards.

when God said the world was full of wickedness it means that the entire world was filled with wickedness except for noah. God favors the righteous but it doesn't mean he loves them more. God will not destroy a million wicked people if there are 10 righteous people among them.

^---------------------^

A person's lot in life is a decision by God. As the apostles asked why a man was born blind.
They asked, was it due to his sins or his parents. Jesus said, neither, but that the works of
God can be seen. The man was born blind, and put into that spot, to bring glory to the Lord.
People in the world are consumed with a humanistic attitude of making everyone equal, but
that isn't God's choice. Some have been poor while others rich. Some have been slaves while
others free. God put them in that position for a reason, that we can not fully grasp now, but
He has His reasons. A slave, who is limited to what he can do and go, may become greater
in the kingdom of God, in the life to come, because the slave had limited abilities and resources
to work with. Like the woman who put two pennies into the treasure, Jesus said she gave more
than all. See how it works? Being "equal" in THIS life, may not be in your best interest, in the life
to come. All things work for good to those who love God. Not living the good life, in this life,
may be for your good, in the life to come.

Now, i'm not advocating we let the poor starve on crumbs, so they'll get a bigger blessing
in the life to come. Because NOW....we are dealing with YOUR lot in life. What did you do for
the poor? The poor will be blessed by God because He made them poor. The rich and middle
class will get the blessings when you help the poor.

Each is put in their lot in life, the bring Glory to the Lord, and earn treasures in heaven, in ways
God has determined.

Before this question can be answered-

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY BETTER? Better at what? Better how? More holy than another?

We aren't equal. I was born with eyes that differentiate colors better than other people's do. But I was also born with a brain that does things backwards, AKA dyslexia.

BUT without Jesus we all end up in the same place. As fun as it is to tease about "special" hells for "special" sins, it's all the same. Hell isn't the fire people, it's total separation from God for all of eternity. You think life here is miserable now? Imagine a world where God literally pays no visits. So in a way we are equal.

Lying is just as bad as murder. When we say one sin is worse than another, that's our humanness trying to justify ourselves because we feel guilty. At least I didn't do xy&z!

Just as I have a set of physical traits that I'm born with, I also have a set of temptations that I'm partial to.

Person A may have no trouble keeping the Sabbath holy while Person B can't stop their life to rest in the Lord. Person A has a lot of trouble just saying the truth while Person B feels honesty is extremely important and tells as few lies as possible.

We aren't all the same person so no we aren't equal, but we are equally loved and equally in need of that love.

What then would be the difference between love and favor?
