But it costs a persons everlasting soul in the end to worship false dieties and fallen angels. For what little temporary power one gains they lost thier lives in the process
I'm just asking if anyone has any real experience with the supernatural / occult, aside from the Bible telling us this...

It's said that Charles Manson made the bus fly, but by then he was already a raving lunatic—likely due to the demons that possessed him. Such powers come at a great cost --- one's sanity.
The witch with king Saul was able to summons Samuel from the grave. So at least for that Bible story in Samuel witchcraft and spells worked.

I think demon's best defense is people not believing in them, so they'll shrug it off and rationalize the phenomena as that is 'just me.'

Either I lack the discernment but I have not experienced anything other than spiritual warfare as in the forces you can't see I know work against me. I had a very vivid dream of being crushed by a demon but Jesus saved me. Not sure if that was demonic or a message from God because I did learn a valuable lesson from it.
Correlation is not causation, I believe that the witch had powers, for instance she saw through Saul’s disguise, but Samuel could have come on his own accord or been sent by God. But the fact that the witch was more concerned with Saul than Samuel makes me think she thought she had summoned the prophet.
There is a lot there you have asked and I do believe that we can investigate the supernatural and paranormal without partaking in the rest (occult and witchcraft).
I have seen a ghost and I wonder if a man I keep running into is possessed by a demon, and I also believe in phenomena such as Bigfoot, UFOs, and other spirits that are not necessarily demons or angels. But as I always say I believe in Bigfoot and I believe in God, but I do not believe in them the same.
My advice would be if you are doing any investigation, bring a skeptical friend to be a control group, that well you can keep yourself grounded.
I got the impression that the witch didn't recognize that it was Saul until she recognized Samuel, and she connected the dots.

What you need to know is 'Luke 10:19 a verse from the Bible that says, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you". We have the armor of God also, a spiritual defense that He's blest us with, so no worries

I have come to the point of understanding that I have had experiences that I used to share with others but came to the conclusion I felt it could be giving them credit for it. But this being a discussion that could bring awareness I will share one experience that I still think about that happened several years ago.
I lived in a farming community in the mountains and my closest neighbors were at least a mile away. One weekend I was alone because everyone else was traveling. During that week a couple comments were made about an eery feeling and even one evening I felt a strange presence. So being alone I grabbed a bottle of Anointing Oil and began Anointing doorways, windows, and such like rooms.
About 8 pm I bring my dogs in for the night and feed them and lock things up and chill for the rest of each evening.
So I am going through my normal routine and then was going back and checking on the dogs making sure everything was good. When I came around the corner leading to one of 3 hallways my one dog was laying on her back and making the most hideous noise I had heard since being on the farm. It looked like something was opening her mouth and I could see something crawling inside her mouth. Even her eyes were rolled back and she appeared kind of dead.
Suddenly I lost my breath and couldn't breathe. I even lost my voice and I tried to yell but no words were coming out of my mouth. I just kept thinking the LORD YESHUA Rebukes you Satan! The area grew so cold I could start seeing my breathing when I could start breathing again and the chills just were running up and down my whole body.
Finally my voice could speak and be audible to a place that I could hear I screamed the LORD YESHUA Rebukes you Satan! Greater is He that is in me than in this world.
Suddenly my dog was able to roll over and her mouth just immediately stretched wide open and looked like she was vomiting something out while it also looked like something was crawling out. She then stood up and it felt like a strong wind just moved past me. I was just watching the dog when she turned her head looking behind me. When I turned around I could see this black image wearing what appeared to be a long black trench coat and one part of this entity was outside while part of the long black jacket was still on my side of the window.
I yelled once more the LORD YESHUA Rebukes you Satan and whatever I was looking at turned and glanced at me and then took a step and just vanished. I ran to the window and it was gone. I never saw it again.
But yes, I have experienced things that I believe to have been demonic in nature many times unfortunately.
Yes. God's word says to avoid all that is of the occult, including putting a witch to death. Satan is real and he operates in the supernatural realm (as opposed to the spiritual). Sadly, too many believers do not know the difference between supernatural and spiritual. A recent survey revealed that 30% of Americans have some involvement in the occult, even if only out of curiosity. Much of Europe is deeply entrenched in the occult. Australia is little better.
When the gospel was preached in Ephesus, one of the consequences was that believers burned their occult books. Those books were worth a fortune at that time.
I was born while my father was overseas fighting the Korean war. My well meaning relatives had a seance and sought a "guardian angel" for me. I was also born with a hereditary bondage to the occult. I could not state this more strongly: avoid it like the plague.

heard a sermon about this. i have personally witnessed this one time walking home from the store when outside of it some drunkard started raging at me, telling me that Jesus wont save me and said things like "you believers"....... how did he know i was a believer? i had never seen the man.
