There is some debate whether a Christian who commits suicide will go to heaven or not. In reference to scripture supporting that there is only one unforgivable sin, blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, that all other sins are forgiven, including suicide..... John 5:24 - " Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has ever lasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”
John 10:27-29 - “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand.”

1 John 5:11-13 -“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”

On the bias that a Christians salvation is not lost because of this sin, and can go to heaven, will there be eternal consequences? There are spiritual and natural consequences of sin while in our earthly bodies, but will there be eternal consequences seeing that one can not repent after suicide?

I have thought a great deal about that question, I have known several people who killed themselves and was suicidal myself at one time...bottom line only God knows the whole story, and He is Love. I know His mercy is big enough, but I know that it causes great pain to many people down here, and that the people who do it are more loved than they realized. It is such a tragedy. I think it happens when people feel pushed into a corner with no way out, and there is always a way out. Especially with God's help. I hope all is well with you! and pray God to help you in any way you need...all my love!

it is a tough world, but Jesus said he Over came the world, and he gave us his peace not as the world gives , let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Also with a temptation he also gives us a way out, so we can bare it. God does not tempt us to sin, so suicide is not of God. Suicide is from us, this world and the devil. Those who Truely are God's dont get a 'way out to sin' so dont start comtemplating suicide thinking its ok, we just dont go there. Now mental illness isnt something i am an expert on, but God is and he does Heal, we must follow Christ's teachings and have Faith in them. God does heal. We always have Hope. Always. Satan wants to attack us, thinking we have no way out, so many have taken there own lives, that is one reason we have to be diligent in Spreading the good news, so Souls are Saved and not lost. Amen.

When the Light shines, darkness flees. Amen.

That is a hard question to answer and IDK if anyone but God can answer it...God always provides a way out and will never put more on us then we can bear.

PHILLIPPIANS 1:21-24.... FOR TO ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST, AND TO DIE IS GAIN. (22) BUT IF I LIVE IN THE FLESH, THIS IS THE FRUIT OF MY LABOUR; YET WHAT I SHALL CHOOSE I WOT NOT. (23) FOR I AM IN A STRAIGHT BETWEEN THE TWO, HAVING A DESIRE TO DEPART, AND TO BE WITH CHRIST; WHICH IS FAR BETTER: NEVERTHELESS TO ABIDE IN THE FLESHI S MORE NEEDFUL FOR YOU.

I know that I have felt that way many times in my relationship with God.... and the Lord knows I thought suicide countless time in my BC days. But God gave me this Word of His and I understand that it is ok to want to leave this evil world and be with him. but he has need of me here as well as us all. so when we think that its too hard; for what ever reason, mine was mostly my flesh. I hated sinning against God and I would beg him to just take me home to be with him that I may never sin again.

even then he spoke these words to me that when the enemy would try to tell me that out is easier,,, the Word say in PHILIPPIANS 4:6 BE CAREFUL FOR NOTHING;BUT IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION WITH THANKS GIVING LET YOU REQUEST BE MADE KNOWN UNTO GOD. (7) AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH PASSETH ALL UNDERSTANDING, SHALL KEEP YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.
(8) FINALLY, BRETHREN, WHATSOEVR THINGS ARE TRUE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE HONEST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE JUST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE LOVILY, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE GOOD REPORT; IF THERE BE ANT VIRTUE, AND IF THERE BE ANY PRAISE, THINK ON THESE THING.

So we know that suicide is not the will of God, he have need of us here and when he is ready for us he will take us... KEEP OUR MINDS STAYED ON HIM AND HE WILL KEEP US IN PERFECT PEACE... IT HELPS FOR ANYTIME I START FEELING SORROWFUL I PRAISE AND THANK GOD TILL HE BRING ME OUT OF IT... OR ANY NEGATIVE EMOTIONS...AND THOUGHTS.

I was going through something which i never thought anyone understood;my family, friends...i couldnt understand it myself. i was confused, lost, its like the sky was falling on my with no where to turn...i became suicidal..thought about it everyday for months..until i turned to God and prayed about it everytime i had those thoughts. they didnt go away right then. i felt like it took even longer, until God heal all the wound and pain i was going through. I was so frastrated that i even asked him to take my life but he didnt cause he know y im here. God will never leave us nor forsake us. we;re here because he has a purpose for our lives, each one of us. and we're precious to him. no matter how sinful or imperfect we maybe. this is y He sent his only Son to die for us.there is nothing that is impossible with him.( btw, i think the only thing that was keepin me here was Gods grace and Hell(didnt want to end up there). sorry if i didnt ans ur question
