I'm still back here at the start of the journey, your creeping ahead. I'm not debating the age of accountability . I'm asking you is Christ ours at the moment of accountability, before we have the Spirit of Christ?
 
“14 For the unbelieving husband is Sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is Sanctified by the husband (means that the Believer, by virtue of being one flesh with his or her unbelieving spouse, is not considered living in an unlawful relationship; “Sanctified” means that God looks at the home as a Christian home and marriage, even though one or the other partner is unsaved): else were your children unclean; but now are they holy (looked at by the Lord as being born in a Christian home, despite the fact that either the Mother or Dad is unsaved).” 1 Cor. 7:14

The Spirit of Christ in my understanding is an accual substance, a piece of God Himself, what the Greek calls the Grace deposit. It's given to us by Grace through Faith. I don't accept that everyone is born with the Grace deposit.

But I do like your hinting towards God's paradoxical truths, they don't apply there yet.

No pistola, there are no "pieces of God Himself." The Holy Spirit is God Himself as well as God the Father and God the Son. In other words, there is only one being of God who manifest Himself as three distinct persons. He does not manifest Himself as three distinct beings because that would be "Polytheism."

Again, can you please give me the name of the teacher who is teaching you this stuff? The way that your trying to understand things shows your mixed up. I base that on the following statement of yours, " I don't accept that everyone is born with the Grace deposit. What is a "grace deposit?" What does that mean? Do you agree with the doctrine of the Trinity and can you explain the doctrine to me? :eek:

Please allow me to comment on your question. First of all as you know we are all created in the image of God. We come into this world as a triune being we are body (flesh) we are soul (this is the seat of understanding or the part that makes you different from every body else in the world) then comes the spirit the part that gives you life). Do away with the body and the soul and spirit will remain forever.
Now on the age of accountability . First off I believe its different for different people. I can tell you this much when children still possess
this innocence they belong to God period. Not only do they belong to God but Jesus Himself gives a grave warring to anyone who harms one of these Little Ones. I think about this every time i hear of child who suffers at the hands of an adult. Let me add one more thought to this. God has many aspects to His image. One of these aspects is innocence. when you look into the eyes of a new born what you are looking at is God. There is not two different kinds of innocence. This little form projects the image of God into the world. This is how The Father would want us to be in this world. My how far we have fallen.

I believe that I have witnessed children who come into what we call the age of accountability and accept Christ into there life. I recall many of these because they where always such a joy to be around. Is Christ ours at the moment of accountability, before we accept The Spirit of Christ? Christ and The Spirit of Christ are one in the same. Try to think of it in different way these children as they come of age start learning of the difference between belonging to God and not belonging. When they become aware of their position regarding this question that is when the Church should be there for them. I have children who are over 40 years old all of them where raised in a Christian environment from the time they where born until they went out on there own. However two of these children caused me more pain than a little while they grew up.

WE being who? Are we talking about these who are still innocent (who ever they may be for only God knows) or are we talking about souls who are without innocence living under condemnation ?

I wouldn’t say we are born physically Into this world with the SPIRIT of CHRIST but at physical birth sin is not Imputed because where there Is no law sin Is not Imputed.

Sidenote:Until a child can be held accountable they don’t know they are breaking GODs law.
There conscience has not convicted them.

I thought it would be an easy place to begin a conversation about how a life of faithing starts, by establishing when we begin without the Spirit of Christ.

So an edit to the OP is do we have the Spirit of Christ at the moment of accountability? The answer is obviously no, but can't find anyone who wants to go there.

How about you, wana go?

LOL! it's like herding cats here at times

I agree we do not have life in Christ at birth or anywhere until we accept His death on the cross as our substitute for God's holy wrath against all sin . I did see a few places where it seemed to me you were misunderstanding, but that happens

Okay, at this beginning place, we don't have the Spirit of Christ yet, so Christ, His word, and the promises in His word are not ours either yet.

Are we both in agreement with that?

I'm ultimately trying to show what true saving Faith is and how it's applied correctly.

Alright, we've reached the age of accountability, we don't have the Spirit of Christ yet, so Christ, His word, and the promises in His word are not ours yet.

The next thing that must happen in the correct order is the drawing or calling of the Father to Christ. Nobody comes to Christ unless the Father draws them.

We then make an act of repentance, which is simply a mental turning from our way to His way. Still no Spirit of Christ, Christ, His word, and His promises are not ours yet.

We are then at this point, ready to take our first step of Faith towards God.

Before we talk about what that first step is, are we Still in agreement?

I was saved at the age of 5.

of course I knew the diff between right and wrong

I had heard about Jesus in SS and I agreed I needed to 'ask Him into my heart' I was alone though when I did that and after I had prayed and asked God if He were real to show me by answering a pray and He did so immediately and so I got on my knees and ask 'Jesus to come into my heart' as children are taught.

but for sure it 'took' I told everyone I could what had happened and I could not wait to tell my Sunday School teacher about it

so I might be one step ahead now, but something has to happen besides mental assent. but I guess I have a bit of a different experience, being a child and thinking as a child when I accepted Christ
