Now answer this question. If David, Moses followed God as faithful, righteous people like we do, having fellowship with God, and they praised and uplifted the written law with these words, how can anyone claim to be following the same tradition and say "No one remembers the ten commandments."
This is apostacy and heresy. It also demonstrates pure ignorance of simple morality that is fulfilled by love through Jesus.
It is easy to be deceived, to follow those who appear angels of light but are full of darkness, but one key sign is when the word of the Lord is denied, the very words God spoke to Israel.
Not only that, but it is ridiculous to me to try hard to believe my old man is dead when he causes me such troubles! Angers and bitter resentments and pettiness and the counting of offenses against me and a love of ease and comfort and on and on. There is absolutely no way this man is yet dead. And to insist he is would be to willfully disregard reality. I want to live in reality and the reality I have found is this: please have mercy on me Lord or I will remain this way. Please give me victory over my enemy and Yours, Lord! I agree and have seen there is no good in me and I want to die but find I can't. Please have mercy and give me victory over my enemy!
If our old man has not died..then neither has Jesus because we died with Him. However Jesus died..we died the same death. We need to be focusing on who we are now because we have been raised with Him.

It's in the growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ that we discover what a great salvation we have in Jesus. When we acknowledge who we are in Christ because of His finished work..we start to live the true Christian life full of peace and joy....overflowing with love.

There is a New Covenant...which replaces the Old Covenant. Jesus is our truth. In Him all things are fulfilled. I bet if one was to take a survey now and ask people what is the 5th, 2nd, 8th commandment....without looking....I wonder how many people would know them?....Not many....because the Holy Spirit will not help them to remember them.

Yours is an identity faith that focuses on self (who we are now) rather than on the blood of Christ.

I love that scripture! We overcome by His blood..not our efforts.. We speak the word of our testimony of what Christ has done for us!...we love Him and we don't have a life here on this earth..He is our life..we are willing to die for Him...beautiful scripture!

I'm aware of the chapter Kenneth and again, it is clear what is being said about rewards and loss of rewards.
Rewards are often spoke of as crowns 1 Cor.9:25 ; 1 Thess.2:19; 2 Tim.4:8; James 1:12; 1 Peter 5:4; Rev.2:10,
3:11, 4:4,10 We want to lay those crowns before Jesus and we don't want to come to Him at the end of our lives and not have some precious things to give Him.
Yes., we were bought with a price (not a price we could pay) And because of HIS purchase of US, we are no longer enemies but SONS. Unless you know WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST you will always take these verses of coming judgment and condemnation and apply them to yourself and your performance. We cannot perform to KEEP GOD'S LOVE. He loves us because we were made righteous IN HIS SON JESUS who God Himself sent for that very reason., to save us and place us in the family. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit. We are IN Christ and no man (not even ourselves) can pluck us out of His hand.
Why do Christians want to shun the gift of "no condemnation" when they need that so very much to walk in this life? And then why do Christians want to take that assurance away from other believers and show them a way of works to appease God? When it was God Himself who loved them while they were yet sinners and sent Jesus for their salvation . How much MORE now is that love for us as SONS????
Reading in 2 Cor.5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Now that we are saved by Jesus who was made sin for us., our identity / He has made us / we have BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM. Don't throw your identity away so you are left weak before the enemy. These are truths that have to be believed or the Christian walks in another identity......sinner.,and someone who is not seeing themselves as Sons will not have boldness to come. Even though he is not seen by God as a sinner, if he doesn't believe that truth about himself, God will not force you to believe how good He is. He already spread it out all through the Bible and by sending His son. God sees us as Sons not sinners.
We are no longer sinners we are Sons and Saints. Walk in your new identity in Christ and claim the victory Jesus already attained for you. Don't try to gain something that has already been done by Christ for you.

Amen Grace777, And what a great salvation He has purchased for us!! And then after He gives us this amazing gift of His righteousness., when He leaves to go back to His Father., He sends the Holy Spirit to be with us and to teach us and lead us into all truth. What love is this!!! He promises NEVER TO LEAVE US and as if His promise isn't enough., He gives us the Holy Spirit to seal us and teach us and comfort us.

An attitude of life while we are here., we press on IN FAITH believing in spite of all that is contrary in the natural., The walk we have is by faith., we attain these great and precious promises. We are not done with our walk here on earth and are called to PRESS ON toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ.
This is our walk as believers. We are not pressing on FOR salvation., we are pressing on IN OUR salvation. How sad to see that some Christians believe it is their goal to attain 'salvation'. We want to walk IN THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION that was done in and for us.

There can be serious doubt then that your are a Christian.

Irenaeus was taught the faith by Polycarp who was taught the faith by the apostle John. I guess you think these men were perverted also.
There are obviously good and bad traditions..I believe FreeNChrist was referring to following our Lord Jesus Christ and not a tradtion....religion does so many stupid things..as Jesus had to set them straight on traditions set by certain people...
