Are we trying to flee from the Creator?
I know that this question can be antic. Nonetheless, read the excerpt below:
• Amo 9:2-4 -> “Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: and though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: and though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.”.
Jonah was other one who tried to run away from the Creator:
• Jon 1:3 -> “But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the LORD.”.
Of course, for different reason:
• The Israelites of Amos was trying to get rid of the chastise of the Creator;
• Jonah was avoiding of being used by the Creator to exert mercy in behalf of those who he belief that should be chastened.
The truth is, if we are undergoing some predicament or ordeal, it is useless try to evade from the Creator’s judgment trying to seek in the world a solution for your hot potato (as He said: “I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.”). So, it is better to reconcile with the Creator while everything is good (Mat 5:23-26), while there is time to seek Him (Isa 55:6) and repent (Rev 2:21).
There is no place secure without Jesus’ blessing:
• Jesus’ hand can take us from where we are, don’t mind how deep we dig (similar to what will try to do people of Revelation – Rev 6:16,17);
• Jesus can bring us down don’t mind how high we build our nest (Obadiah 1:4) in order to get free from the power of the evil (Hab 2:9);
• Jesus can search and take us out of the “fertile fields” (Carmel) of this world, independently of how this seems to be impossible of being taken of us;
• Jesus can command someone or something to hurt us, regardless how inaccessible seems to be our nook. After all, He is the Lord on all armies (Ps 24:1; Job 5:23; Hosea 2:18; Psa 148:8);
• Jesus can take away all mercy from us, don’t mind how merciful could be those who preside over us.
So, have a good day in Christ Jesus abiding by this:
• 1Ch 16:11 -> “Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!”
• Psa 105:4 -> “Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!”.
