When Moses met the burning bush, it was supernatural, it did not burn up for it was Not a dry tree like the tree of good and evil. The Tree of Life doesn't burn up. Jesus IS the Tree of Life, the Foundaton of truth, and when trials came He endured and did not burn up. Jesus said in luke "If this happens in a Green tree, what will happen to the dry?" So the question for us today is this: What do trials and suffering produce in true believers, Good fruit (which is as costly stones of silver and gold) or bad (wood hay and stubble)? Will the house stand?
Trials are the testing of a man's faith. What he has believed will either carry him or burn him up. Are we not only believing the truth, but all of it? Are we believers eating the whole of His truth and commands, even the ones in scripture that the flesh doesn't want to hear? Are we asking God Himself to explain His Words that are too hard to chew so that we may understand them?(not moving until the cloud lifts). As an individual believer, do you ponder (eat and understand) the whole of scriptures instead of just reading through them? The truth kills the flesh like a sword, but brings on the opposite end of it brings life to the Spirit.
"Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is." ~ 1 Cor 3:12-13
