IOW, you're mad at anyone who doesn't rip half of the pages out of their Bible before posting?
II Corinthians chapter 5
[9] Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
[10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
[11] Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
[12] For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
[13] For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
[14] For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
[15] And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
The Apostle Paul was motivated by BOTH "the terror of the Lord" in that he understood that we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive for the things which we have done in our bodies, whether good or bad, AND "the love of Christ" which constrained him in that he understood that Christ died for all and that those therefore who live ought not to live for themselves, but unto Christ and others.
Like it or not (with many people here, it's obviously the "or not"), CHRISTIANS are admonished to "behold" (IOW, don't shut your eyes to the same as many regularly do) BOTH "the goodness AND severity of God":
Romans chapter 11
[19] Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
[20] Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
[21] For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
[22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
I can assure you, based upon the revealed, Holy Spirit inspired Word of God, that God is NOT displeased with those who preach and teach BOTH His goodness AND His severity. In fact, He's greatly displeased with those who ONLY preach one or the other in that both approaches are deadly.

Paul also stated it was the goodness of God that brings men to repentance and the word also teaches us that by mercy and truth are iniquity purged, then by the fear of the Lord do men depart from evil.
Day of the Lord and judgement messages were huge in the 70's and 80's. They never really did much but solidify the self-righteousness and legalistic false doctrines we see today.
I have never been used by the Lord to lead someone to Jesus Christ using the severity of the Lord to convert them....I cannot count how many times I have seen people get saved and were convicted by the love , mercy and grace God has for them.
I usually let my Sunday School staff teach about the severity of God and only to those who could eat the meat of the word.
Preaching against something is far easier than preaching for something.....
