Are you aware of what people speak to you (probing their words, the spirit who used them to talk to)?
• Pro 16:28 -> “A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.”.
We can see this below:
• Amo 2:6-8 -> “Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes; that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name: and they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.”.
Of all nations mentioned by Amos, Israel was the most corrupt with the most grievous sins. Let’s take a look one by one:
• they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes -> this brings to my remembrance the Great Babylon which will commercialize human soul (Rev 18:13). Although this isn’t so different in our days: people most fortunate take advantage of the misfortune of the others to explore them; they also take advantage of the talents (beauty, sweet voice, etc.) to sell them to the tele spectators in exchange of money.
Even in many religious institutions it is fulfilled what was foretold by Peter in (2Peter 2:1-3);
• they panted after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor -> they were joyful seeing the disgrace, suffering and moan of the poor;
• they turned aside the way of the meek -> they urged everyone to run with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of the meek and righteous (1Pet 4:4). The desire of them was to see everyone struggling at any cost to get what was fit for them (no compassion, no goodness);
• a man and his father went in unto the same maid, to profane the holy name of the Creator -> Marriage wasn’t honourable in all, let alone the bed undefiled;
• they laid themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar -> beyond they explore the poor, they didn’t respected their clothes (which they could recover it if they enjoyed a financial blessing) and the worst: they used these clothes to prostitute with other women and their gods;
• they drank the wine of the condemned in the house of their god -> they charged people with great and unjust taxes (as the Egyptians did with them – Exo 1:11) and, with this, they “robbed” wine only to enjoy their lascivious cults.
The sadder of this is that it was just the two people closer to the Creator and His teachings who made the more cruel and grievous mistakes.
Based on this, have a good day in the advice of Paul:
• 1Co 10:12 -> “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”.
• Gal 6:1 -> “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”.
