In Rev 20
The NIV wording is "they came to life"

Nope, nope , nope.

The Greek says "they lived and reigned"

No resurrection alluded to at all.

In fact , it appears, that the martyrs are resurrected as the innumerable number DURING THE TRIB.
In fact, KJV, NKJV, NASB and other translations all read in Rev. 20:5, this (they lived and reigned) is the FIRST RESURRECTION. You're in denial.

So, do you really think God is going to let His children stay and experience His wrath? Those that have accepted Jesus after the Rapture will be here and suffer persecution but not the wrath of God, or do you think God will punish them also?
And btw, who do you say the 'Restrainer' is that is holding back the antichrist?
Faithlite you have a good understanding of the truth.

The restrainer is those who will restrain the antichrist such as the two witnesses, 144 ,000, and the Tribulation saints till the reaping of the earth at Rev 14:14. All decisions will be made for or against the Lord by faith at this point of the Tribulation. Final resurrection and rapture during the Tribulation happens at Rev 14:14.

There's lot of differences between the rapture and the Lord's 2nd coming.

(Un)expected.

the Rapture of the Church can happen at any moment. Jesus says that He is coming quickly, and no one knows the day or the hour. The Rapture could even happen today.

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. (Mark 13:32-33)

Even the apostle Paul believed he would belong to the generation that would experience the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 1:10 and 4:17). This means that the Rapture can occur at any moment, and no prophecy needs to be fulfilled before the Rapture takes place.

No one knows when Jesus will come to take us. No man on Earth knows, Jesus doesn't know, and the angels don't know. Mark 13 speaks about the Rapture. The Second Coming is not an unexpected event. Anyone with knowledge of the Bible can precisely calculate when Jesus will return, as discussed in Chapter 12. This can't be done currently because the Rapture of the Church and the revelation of the Antichrist must first come to pass. Once the Antichrist strengthens the covenant, it will be seven years until Jesus returns. Based on the signs in Revelation, everyone will know that Jesus is coming soon, even unbelievers.

"And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?'" (Revelation 6:15-17)

Hidden and Manifest

The Rapture of the Church is a mystery. It's a secret coming of Jesus, and only His followers will see Him. Jesus will rapture His followers to protect them from the Great Tribulation and to take His bride.

"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

The Rapture will take place in the blink of an eye. No one on Earth can see Jesus, and no one will know that Jesus is in the air. No man will see believers being caught up to the Father's house of God.

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (1 Corinthians 15:52)

The emphasis of the Rapture of the Church is the meeting of Jesus with His followers. It is a joyous event where there is no mention of wrath or anger. This verse doesn't mention unbelievers; they are left behind and don't realize that Jesus has returned to take the believers.

During the Second Coming, Jesus will return to Earth, and all people will see Him appear. Jesus doesn't come for the believers; He comes to put an end to the reign of the wicked on Earth. Rather than the Bridegroom coming for His bride, it is the King and Warrior who will establish His kingdom on Earth. Everyone will see Him appear; it won't be an event that lasts less than a second.

"Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen." (Revelation 1:7)

"And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him (Jesus) who sat on the horse and against His army." (Revelation 19:19)

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Rev. 7:9-14)

What's going to happen after the (pre trib) rapture is there will be many Pastors and teachers of doctrine and so forth that will be left behind and they will know immediately that they were left behind and why. Some will go ahead and turn away from the Lord, but many will be set on fire for the Lord and I would expect a great revival, and if they endure to the end and do not take the mark of the beast, will come out of great tribulation because they got their act together and began being personal with the Lord.

It's because of the rapture that many turn to a relationship with the Lord and many will be martyred. Thus all the souls beneath the alter...

There is no pretrib rapture, only post trib. You've built your whole scenario on a false narrative. As long as the dead must rise first, it's post trib.

There's a difference between the dead in Christ and the dead who don't know Christ. The evil ones re left behind duh.

Yes it says that.
If that is denial then fo ahead and include Jesus in denial.
We all can read what it says

And it says nothing at all about a postrib resurrection.
Zero.
You are in denial.
Your doctrine made it up, and is actually traced back to the NIV erroneous wording " they came to life"

Just plain bogus what you do to a book forbidden to change.

Seems fitting a bogus bible agrees with your butcher job.

Yes, as long as you're in denial of Rev. 20:5. And Jn. 5:28-29, for the matter.

Jesus is the firstfruits of the first resurrection.
That points to harvest.
Show me any postribber that incorporates context.
You won't and can't.
Don't study and keep your beliefs.

Obviosly, there's no "absolutes" in pre or post. Who will be affected within christianity if they find out they're wrong? NO ONE.
God has promised to keep us against that day, so IDK why arguments ensue.
Come out of your corners, shake hands, & forgive one another.
Those not forgiving are in danger of judment.
It would be awful if someone would suffer this when so many are supporting the argument causing it, wouldn't it? I'll have no part of it. I'm outta here.

It is plain bizarre to me that you can't acknowledge God's grand schedule of resurrection, our real blessed hope, POST trib, upon the return of the Lord, indicated multiple times in various ways in the bible.
Nowhere in the bible is a resurrection postrib.

Read Rev 14:14.
(A gathering DURING THE TRIB)
SO, the dead in Christ of 1 thes 4, rise AFTER the gathering of the living, of rev 14:14.
The bible is confused?
The dead in Christ rise AFTER the living of rev 14:14?

Show me any postribber teaching that even touches rev 14:14 without changing it.
You must change it.
Sad

Don't you know that "hidden" is what the term "occult" means? How is it hidden when the trumpt of God is blown? "Only his followers will see Him" sounds like the Emperor's new clothes instead of any legitimate biblical teaching.

Well if you don't have any luck here you could go to a different thread?
