Are you satisfied in Christ?
• Pro 13:25 -> “The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.”
The Creator promised to sate the soul of the righteous:
• Psa 37:18,19 -> “The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied”.
So, why, many times, are we so doleful, anxious, troubled, etc.? One of two things: either we aren’t seeing the value of what Jesus granted us, or we aren’t being righteous.
If it is the first hypothesis, see what it is written:
• Psa 34:10 -> “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”
Note that the Creator imparts us “good” things (as we can see also in Mat 7:7-11; Phil 4:19). Nevertheless, we are praying for bad things (see Romans 8:26). Hence Isaiah argued:
• Isa 55:2 -> “*Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not?* hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.”.
It’s not in vain that Solomon said:
• Psa 37:16 -> “A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.”
After all, as the wicked pine for evil things, all the wealth will be disbursed in what can bring harm for them and those around them. The Creator won’t give for His beloved ones what is bad:
• Psa 37:3 -> “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and *verily thou shalt be fed*.”
• Isa 1:19 -> “If ye be willing and obedient, *ye shall eat the good of the land* :”
See that He promises to nurture those who fear and trust Him with what is true and good. The problem for which we, many times, think that He forsake us is because we crave for illusions, fantasies, salacious delights, etc. Nonetheless, He was clear:
• Heb 13:5 -> “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”.
Even when we think that something is missing in our life, can you be sure: He is close to us and will bestow us exact what is need. Ask Him for His eye salve (Rev 3:18) so that you can have good eyes (Luke 11:33-36) to perceive the value of what is in your hands, be grateful for this and make good use of all this for the glory of His name.
So, have a happy day bringing forth virtue from what looks picayune to the eyes of populace.
