Are you unsure about whom to worship?
• Zeph 1:4-5 -> “So I will stretch out My hand against Judah
And against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the names of the idolatrous priests along with the priests. And those who bow down on the housetops to the host of heaven, and those who bow down and swear to the LORD and yet swear by Milcom”.
Observe how uncertain were the Israelites. They worshipped:
• Baal;
• Idols;
• Host of heaven;
• Milcom;
It’s curious how Israelites were so superstitious. Even today we see this in many people. They worship several saints (every saint for a specific purport).
The truth is that, since Adam sinned, the Earth was cursed (Gen 3:17), the man has tried to control the forces of nature, as well as everyone around them.
As, at that time, they didn’t have so great technology, they tried to do this through money and, chiefly, through other gods. Although this keeps on being truth today, many people make use of some kind of sorcery to make the things occur as they consider being right and convenient.
Not to mention that, with the advance of the technology and the discovery that the action of somebody can influence all the planet, there are people interested in rule over all the world (the Global Elite).
And the worst is that, even amidst Jesus’ followers, such idolatry exists. Many people have the audacity of trying to induce Jesus to do what they crave for, making use of campaigns, fasts, and even prayers.
The detail is that the prayer aims at knowing Jesus better and, thus, being able to get free of the fear of the death, which makes everyone under the serfdom for all the life (Heb 2:15).
What we need is to know the alliance of the Creator with us (Psa 25:14) and abide by it, pursuant to what the Creator provide for us:
• 1Peter 4:11 -> “Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”.
That is to say, we don’t need to seek resources to glorify the Creator. We need to worship and praise Him in according to what he provides for us.
So, have a good day worshipping the Creator, and not seeking in Him help to worship the false gods that are harbored in the heart.
