Arise
To those of you who are:
struggling to find;
your confidence, strength or,
just your light;
who struggle to live up,
to great expectations,
who’ve had about enough,
congratulations!
Congrats, because I’m telling you,
you don’t have to live that lie.
It’s time to start over new,
it is time to arise!
Arise from the ashes,
of your fiery doubt.
Let go ‘cause your past is,
holding you down.
Arise from the pain that,
they’ve caused your life.
Don’t listen to them and,
arise from the night.
Arise if the darkness is,
killing your light.
I’m telling you all this,
arise and fight!
Now I know what you think,
how could she understand,
what it is like to be,
in pain, alone, and scared?
But I’m going to tell you,
in confidence,
I’m writing in pain too,
but I’m tired of this!
So if you want more,
from your hand in life;
you’re not alone!
Be strong, and arise!
