How come everything that tastes really good is bad for you?
All you have to do is look up why it's bad for you and you'll run from it, hopefully, lol. I make healthy things that taste superb and knowing that's it's beneficial is an extra delight.

Well when it snows or gets Icy, I pray for global warming so it will all go away lol.
Not always I have only seen 1 bus cancelation in 3 years schools do get snow days but they have never really affected me much, I think only once in 3 years my campus closed due to the weather, but it was justifyable as the ice storm left us without power for 3 days. As for the elementry and high schools, they had more snow days due to weather. Me I am college guy. no I do not work from home, I am unemployed on social assistance and praying for a job to get off the system. I am finishing my 3rd year of college and willing to relocate to any country on earth that wants me and will give me a full time job to get off social assistance, I also have very little heart for this country so when my first pastor told me to pray for God to bring me a wife, I started praying would give me a wife and move me to where she is, I don't see the point in dragging a woman away from her friends and family or place where she is happy just to marry me and live in a place I hate.
Thanks for the info
Why do you have little heart for this country? Is it not the one you were born in? Where are your parents from? Were they refugees, immigrants, or been in Canada for many generations?

Well we do have a reservation not far from here, it is accessable by Ferry and they commute over here to do their shopping in Penetanguishene and Midland, It is actually located on an Island called Christian Island.
Huh, do you know why it's named Christian Island? Is it because...of the Christians??

I know why they're bad. I had to learn nutrition in college. I'm wondering why the dichotomy?

But then why did He make the forbidden fruit knowing that Adam and Eve would eat of it and open the door to evil and temptation in the world? You don't have to answer.
Well that might be one mystery we will never know. But he created the garden and all that was in it, he created a couple trees and said they were off limits and for a while Adam and Eve obeyed it, one to give eternal life and the other to know good and evil. I think more or less it was to test obedience and once satan fell from heaven he went to Eve, decieved her and tricked her into eating so he could take humanity with him to hell as well.

Your welcome, I was treated like crap by the kids at school growing up, no one wanted to be my friend, most kids who were around me just picked on me and teased me, I felt like my teachers always took their side, and my parents always took the teachers side, so I was miserable and alone, I hated going to school, I got sent to school and to put up with that crap, the school always sent me home as a punishment. Its really the reason I fell unwanted and unloved to this day, My parents didn't want me at home and the kids and teachers didn't want me at school.

By the time I was 8 I was socially isolating my self, by the time I was 13, I was suicidal and being served my first criminal conviction. Then at 17 I get kicked out of the house and diagnosed with mental illness and meeting people over the internet in person. This is why I am 40, single unemployed on social assistance. My parents did nothing to prepare me for adulthood and school was a waste of my time. So here I am at 40, in college and trying to fix the the disaster of a life my parents handed me in the mean time, I have to pay close to $2,000 for a full pardon and record destruction and I really think the government should pay for it since they made the laws forcing parents to send kids to school in the first place, if it hadn't been for public education those criminal records never would have existed. I am just sick and tired of paying for everyone elses mistakes.

Yes I was born here, my parents were born here I think it was my grandparents or great grandparents that had immigrated over here, Since no one wants to hire me any where in the world, I am trapped in a country that does not want me.

Not sure, I never looked into it but I suspect it might have something to do with the catholic church and the Jesuit Missionaries from France around 1649

So you hate your country because of ...public education? Would things have been better if you'd gone to a private school?
Most countries children have to go to school, it's provided for, meant to be free up to the age of 18. Paid for by taxes.

In countries that don't have school, only the rich can obtain an education, and the poor children are desperate to go to school. They want to learn, instead of being forced to work for a living and be child slaves to their parents.

Why were you picked on or teased, what did the kids at school tease you about? I mean was there any reason?

Why do teachers in Canada want to teach in New Zealand? We get so many here. One of my cousins in Canada is a high school teacher. What is so different about the schools in Canada?

If you read the book Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood, it was about childhood bullying by girls. It didn't seem like it was the schools that were the problem, but there was nothing done to stop it. The protagonist was bullied because she didn't fit in, didn't go to church, was kind of homeschooled up to the age of 9 and didn't really know the social norms of being a girl. She was bullied and picked on by her so called friends. There is one episode in the book that was harrowing...her 'friends' were hanging out in the parks or reserve near a ravine where there was a bridge and they playing, and one girl, the older ringleader of the group got mad flung the narrators woolly hat into the cold ravine and dared her or ordered her to go fetch it. She went to get it and fell in the icy creek, and the girls just ran away and left her there to possibly drown.

The ringleader had gotten mad because she was running, slipped on the ice/snow and fell, and her friends had laughed, and she didn't like being laughed at, so she decided to get revenge on the other girl. I mean it was all petty childhood slights and taunts like that.

Mostly because of the way I was treated while I was there.
I don't know about private school but it would have been better at a genuine Christian institution.
On the bright side at least they have parents that actually want them.

Are there Christian schools in Canada? One of my friend's daughter went to one, because she thought her daughter might get bullied at a public school, and it was mostly good though it took an hours bus ride to get there.

In Cat's Eye the narrator hates Toronto because of her bad childhood memories. So she moves to Vancouver, which is the furtherest away from Toronto as she can possibly get without falling into the ocean. Her parents weren't mean to her though, they were mostly oblivious to the hard time she was going through, and thought she could handle it or stick up for herself.

What is it about Canada and teachers?? Anne of Green Gables became a teacher. Alanis Morrisette's parents were teachers. If you listen to any of her songs, they were all about questioning what she was taught, and whether she could ever be good enough. Songs like You Learn, Perfect, and Forgiven all on Jagged Little Pill album. Come to think of it, You oughta Know is also like a teachery song. And she was abused and treated like crap by her so-called boyfriends.

The story of Anne of Green Gables is also sad, Anne was an orphan, and sent to live with Marilla and her Matthew. They wanted a boy to help work on the farm but got Anne instead. They didn't want a girl. Eventually she proves her worth because she doesn't want to go back to the bad foster home she had before or the orphanage. Her childhood nemesis was Gilbert, who teased her for her red hair, calling her 'carrots' so she smashed a slate over him.

I hate bullies. I was bullied a lot growing up as well because I was always the only Asian kid in my whole school. All the other kids were white. But I don't dislike white people because my friends were also white. No question.

Yes, Penetanguishene has the last Protestant school in Ontario, Berean Baptist Church and First Baptist Church both in brantford both have their own acadamies. for K-8 I think maybe up to 12. Some churches up here do have their own schools outside of the Catholic system.
