I was reading about a spacecraft that was launched in 1977 called the Voyager. It was on a one way mission to take images of the planets and our own solar system and 13 years later in 1990, scientists from the JPL asked Voyager that before it went any further, turn around and take one last snapshot of all the planets it visited. By now the Voyager was about 3.7 billion miles away from the earth travelling 40 thousand miles per hour away from the sun. And it turns around and takes a series of 60 images; each images consists of 640 thousand pixels...taking 5 hours each to send one pixel back to earth (...and you thought you had dialing problems at home lol)
After months of waiting, it finally came through. This is one of the images

The green and pink lines in the picture are rays of sunlight reflecting off Voyager... and it just so happens that suspended in one of the beams of sunlight was a tiny little speck. It’s a picture of earth from 3.7 billion miles away....and it just so happens to be caught in a ray of light.
In case you missed it....

Everyone who's ever lived their lives lived them out on that tiny little pale blue dot...a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I’m not trying to make you feel small; I’m just letting you know that YOU ARE SMALL!
But its significant insignificance coz as tiny as we are, we are known and prized by Majesty who sent for us and loves us and knows us even though we’re tinie tiny little bitty people on a little speck floating through the vast universe He has made
