At the end, an inquiry

The order of God can be seen in creation.

In the natural, the charged particles of an atom revolve around the nucleus.

Similarly, within a cell, a nucleus is at its center.

Higher-level, living organisms are comprised of many systems that work together to form the whole. At the center of these systems are the major components that regulate the systems: heart, brain, lungs, pancreas, kidneys, etc. Without these components the system will not function.

Although an organism is composed of many systems, it cannot function at all without the brain within the head.
Similarly, animals require a single leader to emerge for direction and guidance. This is true for domestic animals as well as birds, fish, herd, and pack animals.

Furthermore, in a marriage, the husband is the head of the wife. Although this is a spiritual truth, it is a foundational requirement for peace and good order within the home. He is to give his life for the benefit of the woman whether or not she loves him.

Within a family, wherein both parents are alive and together, the father is the head of the household. He is to give his life for the benefit of the family. The children cannot change the rules by ignoring them or following them. If the father loves them, he will arrange his house in such a way to promote peace and good order.

Within organizations this principle of leadership is reflected: a righteous owner or a CEO of a company would rule for the benefit of the employees. He/she sets rules that create order and stability within the company for the benefit of the workers and stakeholders.

In a kingdom, a righteous king will rule for the benefit of those he rules over: making decrees and laws that support the people and address their needs. He might do this after hearing much council, but, ultimately, the decision is his to make. Our God is a righteous King who requires no council.

So here's the inquiry: When did democracy, or rule by majority, come into the church?
