One point that was not clear about the incident is how the cockpit door was opened. It is supposedly can't be opened from the outside. The latest report is that the wounded captain opened the door from the inside, quite an achievement considering his injuries. It seems clear to me and many others that this was a miracle. The aircraft survived G forces that should have torn it apart. There were off duty pilots on board to land the aircraft.

I think the celebrations taking place later this evening and tomorrow for Sh'mini Atzeret will be extra special! 😁

Apparently the captain who'd been stabbed was able to unlock it in the midst of the attack. Check out youtuber "FlyingForMoney".

Does that really sound plausible?

I understand why they want this to be true, calms down people complaining about the doors having not been reenforced. But you have a guy in his pilots seat with his seat belts on having been stabbed to the point he can no longer fly the plane and the guy next to him is trying to crash the plane, but he is able to get out of the seat, go to the door and unlock it.

why wouldn't the guy flying the plane have done a barrel roll? Or, why not stab him some more?

I think the pilot was Indian (refer to picture below). Without seeming racist, those guys are often *really* dedicated to their jobs.
