I have noticed that many people has different set levels of volume on there webcam mics. that can be a little annoying turning up the volume on the people who has there voices lower, and turn down the volume on the ones who has there volumes high. it can be annoying as I have to use headphones at night, as next door would hear the speakers.

is there a way to run an app on the site to automatic level the volume at a set level so that we can all hear without having to turn up and down the volume, and asking people to repeat because you didn't hear.??

You're thinking of dynamic range compression, and I'm pretty sure this is impossible for chat, as Flash does not have on-the-fly audio normalization capabilities.
