i tutor this 6 yr old girl, and she held a photograph facing her and told me she was about to show me a picture that was a secret.

she then handed me a picture of her when she was 3, with shorter hair, sitting on a sofa.

she said "Can you believe how short my hair was back then???? Don't tell ANYONE."

And I said.. "Ok I won't? But can I ask why I'm not allowed to tell anyone that your hair used to be short?"

She said.. "Because everyone would just FREAK OUT if they knew."

hahahah i was like oh of course why didn't i think of that......?

My mom has been doing daycare for almost 20 yrs..One of her kids was about 3ish and his father played the drums in a rock band. One day he brought some kid size drumsticks and began hitting blocks with them. We then asked him what he was doing and he said "i am playin the buns." hahaha it was so cute.

Another kid she had was the son of a school teacher. We already knew she was working with him to get an early start. one day at lunch my mom asked him how his food was. at 3 and a half he replied "stayce, this is scrumptious" I dont even use that word....

After VBS, one of the kids I worked with went home and played in his kiddie pool. He's only 2 and is getting very good at potty training. He knew to get out of the pool in order to relieve himself. As he was, he said in the deepest voice he could muster and in a big southern drawl, "That's a big ole water hose."

my sons make me laugh every day... today we drove past a logging road and my son corbet says... mooooom... why do they have those logging roads, i said because they cut down the bug kill wood and they have to get the wood out of the bush... he said mom, they can do stuff with those logs right, like build houses and mailboxes.... mailboxes?? rofl

ok so here's another... my son went through a period where he was a puppy. while grocery shopping we'd pass the same lady in each isle... the first isle she just about jumped out of her skin when my son 3 leaned out of the cart and yelled his loudest woof right in her face... 2nd isle he did it again & she laughed... third isle.... she beat him to the punch and barked in his face... he said mooom she;'s a puppy too

oh another one: my son was riding with his grandfather who is well knows for his colorul language and "road rage". as he yelled at the folly of someone driving slow in the fast lane my 8 year old son said and i quote " gramps you got anger and road rage issues, you need to address these issues " ROFL!!!! he's 8! My dad actually laughed.

One time, my brother and I were rough housing and I knocked over a bowl of bright pink liquid popurri on my mom's brand new white carpet. When my dad demanded who did it, my brother just sighed, rolled his eyes, and said, I did it. He got spanked, and when I asked why he said he did it, he said, you were going to blame it on me anyway, and besides, being spanked doesn't hurt. I just yell and cry real loud and he stops, so I don't care.

My little brother was throwing a temper tantrum this morning (he's three), and was throwing stuff from the breakfast table. My stepmom pushed his chair back and put him in time out. He quieted down, then asked for some juice. She said "Are you going to throw this"? He got all red and flustered and started crying and goes "YEESSSSSS"! It was hilarious. Dude doesn't know how to lie, he's awesome.

ok so here is one i was not there but my nephew was playing outside with two neighbors. They were talking about who is the oldest ...Then the girl said your mom is the oldest she has all the gray hairs. My nephew responded with she is very old...How old is she? the girl said. My nephew responded with I don't know probably like 10,000 years old....

my nephew was at church and was taking communion as the preacher said this is the body of Christ he took a handful of cracker and the preacher went on this is the blood of Christ and he drinks and then all of a sudden he yells out in front of the whole church

This is on the same order as what your post is like Christine-j..but I think you'll like it too. My mom was just 17 when she married my dad, and had my oldest brother 11 months later, at age 18. When he turned five, he, of course, started school....she, being excited to share all the details of his first day away from her all day, tried to get him to talk..but he wasn't really telling her much...she finally started asking about his teacher....whats's she look like?? does she wear glasses?? is she tall?? or short?? is she nice?? is she young??,....ok so he choses to answer THAT one!! He pipes up with "Awww MOoooM, she's OLD!! she is at LEAST as old as YOU are!!! hahahahaha (she had to have been ALL of 23?? hahahaha awwww....

I love this one too...it reminds me of my own daughter....she kept singing this one song..we all tried to figure out what it was...cuz the..words(?) were a bit.... off?? We fnally figured it out!! Elvis Presley's "I'm all shook up...." translated by her as "AMUSHCACUP" hahahahah don't ask!! (She is fine--really!!!) hahahaha so fun.....

heres another one I overheard my older son 7 at the time to my younger son 3 at the time... stop NOW you are under arrest for impersonating a cat, you were copying him. (corbet was meowing and licking his hand being a cat) now i killed myself laughing over this one... asked christian where he got it from he said his brain... i dunno, musta been on a kids show cause he couldnt possibly be that smart...

my niece walked into the living room, stopped, and quite seriously said "My baby's dead! the police man shot him!"...then she started giggiling and ran off. She has the most joyful spirit i have ever seen in a three year old, and finds the oddest things funny ..has a sort of Margaret O'Brian sence of humor, and times it flawlessly....when you are least expecting it! I told her she was not being very kind to me one day, and she thought about it for a few minutes and then told me..."You make me be mean."...now everytime i hear adults blaming their emotional roller coasters on other people I think of the very honest answer of my neice. Except she was very polite about it.
