** * I had an awkward ministry moment on Sunday and I'm wondering what other people's takes are on it. *
** * I've been sick for a while so a group of people I know (2 I know well) surrounded me after church to pray for me. *Then another man joined and sort of took over graciously. *I know him, but not well enough for him to concoct words. *The ones he was giving were right on. *At one point he gave another word. *"I see you naked.". My first thought was, "Then close your eyes!". But because his other words were right on I waited for a qualification like, "and you're waddling around in a diaper.". None such explanation came. *He continued with his word and I don't remember much of what he said except, "your body is perfect."
** * I tried to take it for the good in it, but I did talk to a *friend on mine. * He is the worship leader at my church and has been like a father to me. *He just about jumped out of the window of his car when I told him, and he is not one to run away from uncomfortable conversations. *His alarm made me more alarmed.
** * When all was said and done, I took the word much more literally than others did, but since it was my word I guess it's my job ultimately to interpret with the HS leading.*
** * I would really like to know your take on this encounter... as mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, strangers, Christians and not. *I have a difficult past which has led me terror at the thought of being someone's fantasy. *It's one thing to be locked into a strangers mind as I walk down the street. *It's a whole different story to be chained inside the mind of a friend during a ministry time.
 
My take is that's creepy/wierd, uncalled for, and angering. I don't know the guy or know what 'words' he was saying but that is a redlight. Guys a pervert. There is NO edifying reason behind such a thing at all and honestly if I was your friend in the group when that happend I would've had some serious words with him.
 
If I were you, I would talk with the pastor's wife or the pastor and his wife together, and get their take on it. Your worship leader may well have done this by now though, unless he said he wouldn't. This would make me uncomfortable as well, and that's me putting it nicely.
 
this worship leader is a wolf in sheep's clothing. he has a problem with lust and out of the heart the mouth speaks. there is nothing in the bible that says anything that way. we are naked in our sins when we are lost but if he said you had a perfect body that would not make sense. their is no verse in the bible that says we have perfect bodies. we will not have perfect bodies until the rapture when we receive new bodies. beware of this guy. you might find out if someone else heard what he said so you can go to your pastor. the bible says it takes two witnesses and they might tell you that.
 
The worship leader wasn't the one who said it. He was alarmed by it saying that it was inappropriate because as a man he knew what the man was thinking. My friend is one of the most upstanding and honest mention I know. I am not under the illusion that he is struggle free, but his response was protective if not somewhat uncomfortable. The man who gave the word was a different man altogether. He is a member of the prayer team. I did speak to the prayer ministry leader. And I emailed the pastor.
