why do some people sayy youu dont have to get baptise. i mean jesus did

idk thats the way i seee it.but some people usee thiss scripture to sayy youu dont need to: For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. (1 Corinthians 1:17 KJV).
but thats justt saying he was not sent by godd to baptise
