I would like a prayer request for myself. I have been struggling with negative thoughts such as the inability to forgive myself when I made huge mistakes and feeling like I betrayed people. Also, recommendations of what to read in the Bible when feeling this way. Thank you and God bless you all.
 
I will pray for you. There are verses that you can read in the new testament.

One is John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The other is I John 1:9
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

If God is able to forgive us then we should be able to forgive ourselves. If we confess our mistakes to God then he will be able to forgive us and you will be able to forgive yourself.

Believe in God and believe in Christ to help you learn forgiveness to yourself. Keep praying and talking to God. He WILL answer your prayers.

I will keep you in my prayers. :)

Behold I wil do a new thing; now it shall spring forth

psalm 23 and 91 always bring comfort, understanding , Gods protection and streangth for me. :)

I just read this: Romans 8:1 ..there is truly now no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus.

When we can't forgive ourselves, we're actually negating what Christ did for us on the cross. If HE forgives us, then we have to be able to forgive ourselves.

The devil delights in holding up your past sins to you. As long as you focus on those, you cannot grow spiritually. Don't fall for this tactic :).

Envision in your mind the way you think God wants you to be and go toward that and don't look back.

Father, bind up the demons of accusations and toss them into the pit. Help this young man to see himself as YOU see him...lead him into green pastures. Amen

Psalms 51:10 - 12
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

I will pray for you. The just shall live by faith. If you confessed your sins to God just have faith God has forgiven you.
