Please DO be careful and yes I recommend women take rape prevention courses and firearm safety as well. The 2nd amendment is your friend.

Oh, the firearm safety is a great bit regardless of the fact it cannot be employed in the places it is likely most needed.

I should have been born a century ago...

Yeah, gun laws are very different in Australia (not that my country is especially dangerous but there are some idiots).
 
I read about this the other day! Yes, please be careful and if you can, make sure you get a background check on people before you meet! This applies to ALL sites!
