Be perfect (Matthew 5:43-48)

Unfortunately, I have heard the word "perfect and "perfection" abused by both "works" & "grace" camps, so much so that when the word is used many tuck tail & run away. However, biblical perfection is nothing to fear much less ignore. In my opinion, both camps should refrain from using the word because, in most cases, neither seem to know what they are talking about when using it.

The writer of letter of Hebrew, wrote that the old prophet was not able to live as pure life what we may be able if, we take our Lord word's.

37. they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, they were tempted, they were slain with the sword: they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated

38. (of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves, and the holes of the earth.

39. And these all, having had witness borne to them through their faith, received not the promise,

40. God having provided some better thing concerning us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect. (Heb 11:37-40)
 
But in the subject;

We have be able to love even our enemy, if we wish to have the mind of our Lord Yeshua.

Love is the most important thing to have, and if we fail to love, we fail everything.
 
Then what did Jesus come to earth for? Why did He live as one of us? Why did He die as a criminal, even though He didn't do any wrong, didn't have any sin in Him? Why did He rise to new life? Why did He do any of these things if we can pay our way to be with Him for all eternity?
 
English gramma 'perfect tense'-- something coming to completion

Strongs concordance for 'perfect'-- maturity.. incompletion to completeness..

It is like something that is 'being perfected'.. not that it is actually 100 percent unblemished.. but that it being finished.. completed.. matured.

So it is for verses about 'being perfect' in the bible :)

Yes I believe that we should strive to our way in to the life, and consciously choose good, instead bad, and weigh things, so that it can go according to God's will.

I believe that every man should bend they heart to God, against they natural nature, which has not submit it self, to serve God.

Like our dear brother Paulus say, that we should mortify the mind of the flesh, with Spirit.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

That's everyone who is striving to be Perfect like our Father in Heaven is Perfect.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.


We don't achieve this perfection. It is given as a gift of Grace. The Holy Spirit achieves this perfection. Which, if you come to Christ, you receive.

Whenever I tell people that we need to be perfect, I get yelled at. But why would we want to continue to sin? Once we figure out what sin is, we need to strive to conquer it, and we will conquer it. There's no need for us to continue to live selfishly.
 
The run is on, and the finish is dead, and after that our Lord will give me according to my lived life.

If you believe your salvation is based on how well you live, then to be blunt, hell awaits.

The sin issue was dealt with at the cross. There is no condemnation for Christians. None, zero, nada.

Jesus commanded us to repent of our sin:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

I know from experience that when I resist temptation, I am happy, and when I don’t, I am not happy.
