Agree, government has not been in the role of fixing problems for a long while.

I am a conservative, limited government, fiscal restraint etc., I just do not believe for one minute that the President of the USA or most who are in office presently are true conservatives or even libertarians for that matter, with the exception of Thomas Massie and maybe Rand Paul.
Rand Paul has my vote! Jim Jordan( national wrestling champ!) has my vote.

And more breaking news...

The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Vance was the leading voice of dissent in this reported leaked group chat on the Yemen strikes: “I am out for the day doing an economic event in Michigan. But I think we are making a mistake. …3 percent of US trade runs through the suez. 40 percent of European trade does.”

I am starting to experience resentment in this thread.
I like how there are actual enemies here like @seed_time_harvest who laughs when others are experiencing pain. Very Godly of you. I totally believe you have the fruit of the spirit and are not demonically possessed (Sarcasm)

Rand Paul has been expressing government theft for years......He is starting to be heard!

In my work using an unapproved message/email platform to relay confidential information would put me out of a job.

I cannot even believe they were using Signal to discuss a military attack... such incompetence and it really just tears away at the credibility and hopes so many people were given during the campaign. :(

People can make light of it, but anyone who has ever worked in field that requires confidentiality should see how egregious this is, this is not about being transparent at all.

I do think he is a man with integrity, I just wish there were more like him.
So smart, a true statesman, why did he not run for President. sigh :(

I’m not entirely sure how ridiculous this is on a grade from one to ten. What is kind of strange is how the administration has been handling their intel and their execution of it. Sharing this information with people who are, to put it very politely, not in the inner circle, is amateurishly amateurish.

Who is this bunch of people in charge of the country?

Has their ever been a more incompetent politician than Mr Heghset? He makes Trump look like an intelligent person.
I would agree with you, it is just baffling and yes Hegseth should go back to Fox News.

Re: the Signal chat and The Atlantic article. The minute I read the chat my very first thought was that Goldberg was specifically and deliberately included so that he would leak what he saw to the public. The idea was to let Europe know just how unhappy American leadership is with Europe's unwillingness to pull its weight militarily. The backchannel, seemingly accidental nature of that reveal was powerful and I believe intentional. Also, as someone who has read his fair share of Top Secret/SCI war plans, this ain't it.

Intentional leak. Pretty obviously.

Do you even know what will happen if Europe decides to arm up? We will lose all control of the endgame. It has been working fairly well so far, but a militarized Europe has a tendency to wager war.
