Some people think that way, I do not, so all the more frustrating for me.
These problems large rest on the shoulders of Christians who have abdicated their job for a future rapture.
I'm not one to hide in the basement from the coming apocalypse. I just see parallels to what's happening today. The day it happens is the day it was ment to happen regardless of human intervention. I do however see your point. In the Bible it lays out qualifications for decons and pastors. When the leader of our country isint fit to be a decon at your local church. Why do Christians line up behind him like some kind of savior? In fact what politician today out of all of them would even meet the qualifications?

Well the only good thing that has come out of the "Liberation Day" is hopefully knocked out the Libs from getting back in power in Canada. Now there is a party that went right off the rails.
Donald Trump giving Canada a helping hand.

I take someone who believes the wrong thing "sincerely" than the person who believes in nothing except for what affects them and has a facade of morals and principles.

While the USA is not a theocracy, it has largely been taken over by people with no moral guideposts, only what it beneficial to them at the moment.

I think there are few people in Congress with some guiding principles who do not waver, nor compromise, but very few.

Sell, sell, sell, if you own stock in Lockheed Martin sell, sell, sell. If you own stock in General Dynamics sell, sell, sell. Sell, sell sell and cash in your 401K's and buy, buy, buy food before it's bye bye food.

I think he's a narcissist but I'm not a psychologist. And one thing narcissist fear worse that getting dropped into a woodchipper is looking bad. So in some warped way he is trying to do good for America. Not because he cares about Americans but he cares about his own image.

Evidently, Triffin's dilemma, the dollar milkshake theory, and the Eurodollar shadow banking system is lost on many.
But not to Bessent. This is all part of the plan folks.

@Geiger_Capital
Scott Bessent before the Election:

“In the next few years, we are going to have some kind of grand economic reordering. Something equivalent to a new Bretton Woods. There’s a very good chance that happens in the next 4 years and I’d like to be a part of it.”

Yes agree, the problem is that while he is all concerned about his legacy and image he is also completely beholden to his financial backers, and since he has no moral compass he will do what they tell him.

If you have worked or been around this character type they also are very delusional and can convince themselves of their own lies, they live in an alternate reality where the world revolves around them and so he cannot help but believe that his legacy will be great.

It is very dangerous especially where there can be absolute power, I have watched how these people operate and their sycophants are equally troubling.

Probably good advice actually.
In one of my post when I first joined I noted what Musk said about the economy taking a big hit on an X post of his where he agreed with another poster about the economy getting really bad. He commented "sounds about right" when they were discussing what will happen when they did this. I suggested everyone get used to eating far less food and way faster than they think because of what he said. That day is here.

Because the think they can control all the variables, but it does not work that way in reality.

I'm not to worried about the absolute power thing. He's over 80 he could drop dead at any moment. Plus there are 100 million gun owners that would have a say about that. I am how ever worried we could be pushing around wheelbarrows full of money to use as firewood all while him and his base shout fake news.

Good point, so much unknown right now, but I do not think the plan is for him to have perpetual power, lol, but rather the billionaire oligarchs who funded him to dismantle the Constitution and the democratic process and install a future oligarchical technocracy.

All one has to do is read the books and listen to the talks/interviews of the so called PayPal mafia.

Hitler came from a Germany where a pound of hamburger cost a million marks . People were starving in the streets. If our economy collapsed and people where living in swamps eating rats you might be scared of who they would pick as leader. Who was just promising hope of better times again.
