I had everything I wanted so I thought. Money, family, business,.more friends, children, 3 bedroom home, every desire I wanted I had. It's not worth anything now. In the end all I want was to die. Now I have a new life. I lack no void in my heart, soul and spirit and it is priceless. Nothing I won't do to keep this precious gift of salvation, hope, faith love in my first love. JESUS CHRIST.

Weeeeeell... I wouldn't say all that is not worth anything. The friends and family can be quite nice. ;) Even the Bible says they are.

But none of it is essential to our primary goal in life.

Life works best if you keep in mind that you're eventually going to lose everything, including physical beauty and even life. People can knock themselves out trying to hang on to friends, money, prettiness, whatever, but they wind up missing all the fun in life that way.

I have found the best way for me to play life is to consider everything I have as something that is nice while it is here. I know it won't last forever, so I appreciate it while I have it. But I don't try real hard to hang on to any of it. And when I lose something, I don't mourn its loss. That gets in the way of enjoying what I still have.

Because at the end of the day, I can still complete my main objective in life without it.

Still... a lot of it is nice to have while I have it. Friends, especially.
