I don't know if there's something wrong with me or what, but I find it hard to stay on God's path....he says his yoke is easy but why do i keep falling off track then. I try but i feel like its not working out sometimes

I also find it hard to stay on the narrow road, just keep repenting daily, try to read your bible as often as you can and spend time in prayer daily too. We are all sinful by nature and live in a fallen world, surrounded by temptation, the fact that you keep trying proves that your heart hasn't been hardened. Sometimes I feel as though my prayers ain't been heard or that ive been condemned because I'm so sinful but I know God hasn't foresaken me yet. Just keep trying your best to be rightous and christ like, stay humble and keep repenting, it really is hard to be a christian but the reward is amazing and eternal. God bless.

Hi Katie. Can I ask what your daily routine is with the Lord?

What "path" or "road" is it (specifically) that you feel you keep falling off... and what do you use to gauge your position?

They have names for that. One of them is flesh. Another is satan, who plys your flesh. You're not supposed to be comfortable here. It's a war and you're saddled with a couple traitors. Like satan and your flesh. Paul said he was at war with himself. Welcome to the front lines.

Remember these:

James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

John 12:25
Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

***

Sometimes when I start feeling like I'm losing to the world, and I'm hating it, I remember these and think instead that I must be doing something right to be at such enmity with it all.

Perseverance. It's a war of attrition but we know who the last Man standing is. Until then, don't get too comfortable with this place. That's not the way this works out.

Hugs

Rick

Nothing wrong; it's the narrow path. It's not always easy, but the Holy Spirit will guide you and convict you if you are, in fact, doing wrong.

I second this. Repent and be assured of His forgiveness. Stay hopeful!

It's not easy Jesus life is a great example the more he talked did things the more people wanted him gone.
that said same goes in our walk to be closer to him, Evil doesn't want us to be close either, it tries harder to stop us the more we grow. When people are fully deeply sinning evil is laid back in a lawn chair with a margarita in his hand smiling once we start making changes in our lives he gets agitated spills his drink gets mad starts pulling puppet strings. Help me to understand something does anybody think we can fully cut all the strings he has or is the best we can do is extend the strings so far they barely move us.

I've felt the same way many times in my walk with God. and I was convinced that I was the worst sinner ever because I kept falling. But try to think of it this way- without troubles and trials, how else would we grow? Would we even go to God if our lives were perfect? I most likely wouldn't.

Being a Christian is hard for sure...

Trust Him by having Faith is tough too...

Anyway...

In this world Christians will have tribulation but be of good cheer because Jesus Christ has overcome the world. Praise God!

I don't really have one....I know i have to make time for god but i'm either caught up with other things or I just don't bother

Going to church and staying a away from the people i know cause trouble

[h=1][/h]Romans 7:15-20

[SUP]15 [/SUP]I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. [SUP]16 [/SUP]And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. [SUP]17 [/SUP]As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. [SUP]18 [/SUP]For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. [SUP]20 [/SUP]Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

The guy who wrote more of the NT than anyone else discussed how difficult it was to stay on track. Now if he struggled and wrote a good part of the NT and did a lot to help establish the church and was even visited by Christ himself, then i think it's reasonable that we will struggle too.

What you are saying here is the absolute truth friend. When we come to Christ we come with all our baggage in tow.
The most important thing to remember is simply this.
The old Katiekayla died the day she received Christ. You are now a new spiritually alive person. " a new creation in Christ Jesus. He is your life He is your righteousness he is your all. When God sees you he sees Jesus perfect righteousness.
Keep your eyes on Him sister and don't pay your old dead person any mind. This is a process called you practical sanctification. It is yours and my privilege to exercise our faith in Him and grow in grace and knowledge. Fret not and do not be discouraged only believe his word and stand. You cannot be defeated. You have the Lord of life in you forever.
Do not listen to the lies of the enemy. We are more than conquerors in Christ!!!
