I am alone in my immediate family also.I have a sibling of faith but she lives in another state.
God is so very amazing that He never leaves nor forsakes us.
I have had much loss of loved ones in my life. Mom died young, son, sister, baby brother passed young but in all that I found there is no comfort like being sheltered in His loving arms.

He has been at my side through, sickness and surgeries.

The word is such a blessing to read and study and find the way of God and the path for our feet.

Nothing compares to praying and being intimate with Him,loving and being loved, waiting on Him for the answer we need.

He IS my everything in this life and the hope of my future!

Define Christian.

Named by the father in Acts . Christian. . . . residents of the heavenly city of Christ (the New Jerusalem ) prepared as the bride founded by her husband .

Same way any city of people are named .

I have backsliden many times, each time I stray or fall down I always feel so horrible and what he must think of me but I feel him comforting me inside and I ask how can you still love me? His love and grace is still amazing and baffles me even after nearly 8 years with him.

I think we all back slide from time to time but instead of beating ourselves up we repent and instead see it as a lesson of his mercy and grace and the depth of it

God was always with me since I went to Sunday School as a 5 year old. My parents were not Christians, but my grandparents were. My grandmother prayed at least half of her grandchildren into the Kingdom of God.

I went very astray in my teens and turned away from God. I was angry and hurt, got into the New Age mov't, read all the holy books of the world, but found no joy or peace. The I felt a nudge to read the Bible, but I couldn't understand it. I had a modern version. But nothing made sense.

I went back to college, where I met my future husband. He told me to repent of my sins, and believe in Jesus. Well, God showed up and I knew he was real. I've been serving him for 40 years. I also understand the Bible, because I met the author of the book! It was all about Jesus - I couldn't understand how blind my eyes were, before Jesus opened them. I praise him that he did reach down and save me!

God is my hope, my joy, my righteousness, my redeemer, my Saviour. The Holy Spirit has been teaching me, keeps me on track reading my Bible, praying, attending church and sharing the gospel. He's also my advocate! He takes care of me in the legal sense of Christ defending me despite my wrongs.

Jesus is also my beloved friend. He walks with me, and I am never alone. He talks with me, inspires and encourages me. He defends me and loves me, even though I don't deserve any of it.

Praise God! What a mighty God we serve!

How long have you been a Christian?

What does God mean to you?
I do not know the exact day but i became a Christian when i was about 22/23.. Anyway that means i have been a Christian for about 31/32 years..

It means i am saved from being cast into the eternal lake of fire.. because of my transgressions against the will of God..

Over 24 years, God means everything, he is my support system and i love to please him and do what he wants. If there was no God life would be very unhelpful and boring. Being a christian is exciting.
