A lot of poor people aspire to become rich. In the process of becoming rich and gaining wealth, are you more prone to do evil things? If yes, does it mean you should try to avoid to be a very rich man? what are your opinions?

Thank you for such a thoughtful subject to consider for a poor Christian goals to become rich Christian. As i would want to give, as i am given to share regarding this matter in short.

There is a 'tolerance' for Christians businessmen who talks among themselves plans to 'trade' and make a 'profit' for the day, 'if the LORD wills and we will live and do this or that'. (James 4;15)

As it is written (Luke 16;9);

"And I tell you, makes friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwelling-'s'."

We all have learn and know that there are only 'two' eternal dwellings in future, either Heaven or hell.

In the beginning book of Acts reveals that some Christians, 'sold' piece of their property and brought all the purchased money and lay them at the Apostle's feet.

As it is also written (1Timothy 6;9,10);

"9. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. It is through this craving that some have wondered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs."

Therefore we are able to 'perceive' that those who desire to be rich and the love for money ruins them. And those who are rich, are to be rich in Good works and one may do them in secret, in order to be rewarded by GOD the FATHER.

GOD bless you all in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST with HIS kindness and peace.

A Christian being rich in God's provision is the true meaning of being rich. Not with worldly money, were the love of money IS the root of all evil.

What you posted is correct - but there are many of my friends who are Christians and they are rich. Their jobs just brought in the money. They use it wisely, tithe , help others who are in need and still enjoy the big house on a few acres and comfy, nice furniture, etc..

They are church members, pray with and for people and study their bible. All I'm saying is that it did not make them more prone to do evil things.

Thank you friend. Even one can be a 'rich Christian' but in 'witnessing' there must be a 'balance' in their lives in 'contentment'. Not saving for the future but investing them, as 'sowing them in the Kingdom of GOD, where the saints are paid for their full time labor for GOD's Kingdom in reaching lost souls'.

The 'balance' in rich man's contentment is, 'as it is written';

"Love thy neighbor as thyself."

i hope and pray in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST, they stick to the 'middle class' standard living and give the rest to the poor, first of all their 'kinsmen', struggling Christians, or invest in a church who does them diligently.

Or may be 'beverly hills' standards and also their generous giving standards to the poor as 'equal' to their 'lifestyle' expenses.

Apart from 'these' qualities of 'Good works for the Kingdom of GOD' investment, preferably done in secret, in order to be rewarded, a rich man who just gives his 'tithe' promptly and do charity equally, is no better than the Pharisees conduct. CHRIST 'exposed' them, as for our 'lesson', rich or poor, for our exceed righteousness faith.

As it is written;

"For you strain out a small fly for GOD and swallow a camel."

'Contentment' and 'balance', and the rest give them all away to the poor or for the poor conducted by the church, especially for poor Christians.

A rich man can 'start' today, or rather, 'be gloomy and sad, unable to do what GOD calls us to do'.

GOD bless you all in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST.
