For you, you are probably right..one actually has to trust Jesus to be saved by the correct gospel!!

He died to save us once and for all. If we can lose salvation, gain it, lose it, gain it, then He must be crucified over and over. The ONLY thing we CAN lose our salvation over is, denying Him, that He ever lived, and that He ever died for our sins.

I am a born again believer of Jesus Christ and Him crucified,buried and resurrected and sitting at the right hand of the Father! My sins have been washed in His blood,removed,never to be remembered again! I have my name written in the book of life because I choose to ABIDE in Him the true vine! I CHOOSE,HE PRESENTED THE GIFT OF LIFE FROM SIN,I CHOSE TO BELIEVE! His LOVE held Him there,for me and whosoever will!💖💖💖
 
Romans 6:3 -

"Or are you unaware that as many as have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?"


Colossians 2:12 -

"having been buried with Him in [the] baptism [ ^ ], in which also you were raised with Him [G4891 - synēgerthēte] through/by means of the faith of the working of God, the One having raised Him out from the dead."

These passages are not speaking of "water," but of "His Death" (His actual death, in time/history [32ad], on the Cross).


Galatians 3:27 correlating also with Romans 6:3, saying, "For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ."



And when we trusted Christ and His finished work for salvation, this took place: "for also in one Spirit we all to one body were baptized, whether Jews or Greeks, whether servants or freemen, and all into one Spirit were made to drink" 1Cor12:13. [again, not speaking of "water" here]


P.S. I'm not saying there's no such thing as "baptism" in water, in Scripture, I'm just saying the above verses do not refer to that.
[Acts 18:25, for example; John 4:1-2; 1Cor1:17, etc]
 
No one led me astray. :) I had meant to put a disagree all along, I just hit the wrong one due to not being fully awake, and not having my coffee yet.

The part I disagree with is, that you choose to abide with Him, when it's actually the opposite. HE keeps us abiding in Him by giving us His love. :) With such perfect love being offered, why would we ever want to leave?

That doesn't mean we don't still sin. We do, but we repent and are forgiven.

I have also been baptized in the Holy Ghost! I walk as close to the word as I possibly can under the leadership of the Spirit! I die to sin daily,examining myself as to choice,motive,attitude love, ect.I will stand before Christ just as other born again believers will!💖💖💖

... just like the NT describes and warns about.

Is He a Saviour or no?

Amen, when we abide in Him He abides in us. Without us abiding we are dead.
He gives us the life and power to abide, but we must choose to do it.

Some believe Jesus alone keeps us, except in their belief system you can cease to abide
and still be kept by Jesus which is a denial of what Jesus himself said.

It is often confusing that these people appear to be like us in belief, yet actually deny
the very foundations upon which we stand and why, while condemning believers who
know and love Jesus from a pure heart. So do not be discouraged or upset by these false
teachers, because they only wish division and harm to His people.
