Every year we see discussions among believers about what Easter is, how it originated, blah blah blah. This thread is not about that, so please don’t dilute the message of this thread by bringing that in here. What this thread IS about is USING it for the glory of God.

ROMANS 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

We know that there will be individuals attending services this coming Sunday who probably haven’t attended since the churches were filled with poinsettias, right? It is an opportunity to reach them. An opportunity we don’t want to miss.

Please pray with me that God will begin to deal with their hearts right now by the power of the Holy Spirit to receive the truth of the gospel and sacrifice of our Lord. Please pray for pastors, teachers, worship leaders and all of those who are serving others on the Lord’s day. Please pray to be alert to those who need prayer. Those who are lost. Those who are hurting. Pray that many hearts will turn toward God.

Hear my heart when you read this and understand that I’m not interested in arguing or debating any of this. I have come to you as your sister in Christ to ask you to pray with me for the lost. Let the Spirit you are of guide you accordingly.

May you receive of the blessings you pray for others this week.

Yes, I have posted this in a couple of places in these forums. HE is worth it. :) We need as many prayer warriors on deck as we can get!

Jullianna (if that's you're REAL name!), you have shown time and again that you are truly a woman after God's own heart. It's a blessing to know you.

I will be praying about this coming Sunday. :)

Thank you, Aimee. My real name is Dianna. My family and close friends call me "Didi". Jullianna is just a username I liked. :D

The way we live 24/7 is more of a testimony than what we say when it comes to non-strangers, isn't it?

As far as strangers are concerned, the best way for me (I'm actually kinda shy/quiet in person) is to strike up a conversation about something else and work in some sort of praise about something God has done in my life. Few people react badly to that and it is an opener to deeper things. :)

In addition to joining you on the battlefield of prayer, I've been inviting people to the worship service I'm leading on Good Friday.

I'm a worship leader too. :)

I was just talking with Gary about this over the phone at lunch. It's so important to stay in the Word and in prayer right now for everything that is to come this weekend.

When I was first asked to serve in worship my pastor explained to me that praise and worship is usually the first ministry to be attacked because it sets the tone for things to come in a service. The Spirit uses it to break down walls and soften hearts to receive the Word. I'm expecting amazing things to come from this. :)
