I've been to a healing service where people were falling everywhere, it was weird and unsettling (very different to a Missouri Synod Lutheran service). I believe that the Holy Spirit still does some miracles today but some of what happens at healing services could be acting. My friend whom I went with, mentioned that the falling over is a psychological/physical reaction to the sudden loud noise the pastor makes. The body relaxes and then just becomes a dead weight. But I'm not sure why the man in the GIF reacts like he's been touched by a live wire. Maybe he's having a seizure.

I'll watch the documentary later. I wasn't trying to suggest that demonic influence never happens at these events but sometimes it's something less sinister.

I've heard many times over the years, that he does indeed use plants. People i talk to, even my own parents, have reported lines of sick people hobbling out of his services never healed. All 'healings' that take place from Hinn are internal and not visible. Not one has ever been verified.

This type of stuff is no better than all the other secular garbage stuff on tv,like those housewife reality shows,etc....no wonder the world thinks God is a joke & christianity is insane. These types of preachers really tick me off & the people who follow them are no better. IMO ( I need to pray for them & myself to love them I know...but man...so irritating to watch)

I'm thinking he's only 2.5 million and there is no donor...but I feel a bit cynical today. Not a fan of prosperity preachers I remember a certain televangelist talking about How people need to keep God in remeberance of His promises. I remember thinking at the time (Pre-Christian me) so I need to take God to task that seems grossly stupid.
Benny's got himself a 36 million dollar Gulf Stream jet I'm sure he could sell that and be debt free. Or one of the many homes he owns... Gimme a break...
yes, this kind of stuff makes us all look bad and the media jumps all over this stuff. we all need to remember that the world is watching us and we are always on stage. if we claim to be Christians and do stuff like that and then say " I need money" the world says: see they are fake and just want your money.

suffice it say when the Lord was good and prompted me to know this was not of Him, i was led to research the thing and went straight to a tiny blue paperback: it just said Toronto.
well when i took it home and read it i just crumpled.
turned out it was this:

i went back after months of true learning and politely tried to reason with the people at that church with what i had learned.
they politely rejected it.
but, i don't regret it, since in the process of being delivered from it, The Lord used it for my good.
there's much to be said for prayer and fasting and submission...He truly is faithful and the True Spirit really does teach
He guided me through the whole thing, using Scripture as the pillar of truth.
in a reasonably short time He had shown every proof text and corruption used to justify this thing.
that was a long time ago.
but...as always....nobody listened.
more lonely years...
until i found my LCMS church - my pastor was quite interested.
confirmation for him i reckon...how haywire things have gotten.

I have always wondered if its such a blessingt to GIVE money, why the preachers don't give out money and get blessed?

Well, if this hack preaches prosperity, then seeing how he is so far in debt.. perhaps he is doing something wrong!! He didn't name it and claim it enough to get 2.5 million!! Perhaps his faith isn't great enough!! Maybe he needs to make everyday a Friday so that his today-day has a big pay-day! And other trite phrases I could employ.
