You are not wrong... in the way you said it. But is this what this thread is about? Is it about helping Benny Hinn?
It is God's Presence with His poeple that makes them different from ALL the other peoples upon the face of the earth. Exodus 33v16. If a preacher does NOT have an anointing he is blackslidden and shouldn't be in God's work, he needs to repent, get right with God and seek His plans, presence and power again! And next time you find yourself in a church where the preacher has no anointing and the person sitting next to you does have, suggest to him that he might want to get up and preach and then ask the preacher with no anointing to sit down and shut up for he only has a form of godliness, denying its power. 2Tim 3v5.
Benny Hinn may think he is working for God, but he is mistaken and has been decieved, his "power" is not from God, the fact he has given false prophecy for which he has not begged public forgivness for, should also throw up warning flags.
Quite a few years ago, he came to London, someone who used to go to my church went to see him at Wembley stadium, during the show, Benny Hinn claimed he had a message from God for all UK Christians, that a serious disaster would hit the UK effecting all Christians, he refused to give this message there and then, but said he had arranged to deliver this message the next day at a hasty arranged dinner evening event, for which tickets started at about £100.
I was present at one of deacons home when our member called straight after the event, she was in a right state and basically said she had to find enough money to attend this event and find a hotel for a couple of nights. She was told not to bother, its a scam, but that fell on deaf ears.
As far as I know the message was not made public, however we waited patiently for end of year, and guess what, nothing happened at all. So Benny Hinn made another bucket load of money on a false prophecy.
Problem is with people like Benny Hinn, is that they have manage to brain wash so many people into following them blindly, no doubt some people reading this are "fans" and will not hear a bad word against thier favourite TV Preacher, despite all the evidence to show they are not working for God but Satan.
Word of Warning:
It is all too easy to brand people as agents of Satan simply based on something they do not agree with, we already have the King James Bible Only cult telling us we are all basically heretics and followers of satan for reading anything other but the King James, in same light it is also wrong to condemn people as false teachers for simply subscribing to a different theology such as Rapture.
Therefore we should be careful to brand someone as one of these false teachers or wolves in sheep clothing, these people are not going to be simply preaching an insignificant point such as timing of rapture, they will lead people away from God and introduce them to dangerous spirits and crippling thier spiritual growth with God. Todd Bently is a prime example. Another Thread maybe.

No, you don't get it and you make no sense at all. You have spent a lot of posts here defending somebody who you don't even know what he preaches, as you said. Which in itself is crazy and absurd. So, it is on you to primarily find out what he preaches first and then make a stand either for or against same, otherwise it will just be to your folly and shame (Prov.18:13). I told you what you can do to hear the critical side of the matter. There are LOTS of material about the heresies and false prophecies of this man out there. It will not change if me and others post some of these links here or if you google them up yourself, which you should do. If you're not willing to read the information that is available then there's nothing to discuss.

jb not withstanding your argument about the need for the anointing. But I do believe that 2 Timothy 3 v5 refer more to people that preach healing, but do not heal. People that preach about prophecy but do not allow prophecy or prophecy themselves. People that say they do the ten commandments and you can vividly see it in their lives (a form of godliness) but that do not actually use the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12).
However to give fruit for thought here is a nice verse about the anointing which again brings about many questions:
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
But the purpose of the anointing is this:
Isa 10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
And as it is difficult to aid one self, the need for others to aid you when you are hurt or have a burden or yoke is quite evident.
Which brings me to another point. If their is a problem with Benny Hinn. Should we not aid him? Is he not our brother?

Ok. So he prophecied falsely. More than once. And if so, who checks up on the prophecies? What kind of prophecy is it?
Is it conditional. I mean God gave Johah a prophecy that if the people don't repent he will destroy them.... they repented. They weren't destroyed. In fact the most evidence their was, was the fact that the people fasted. Other than that in the city itself their was no evidence of God.
So one should check up on these prophecies. And if it is flawed. One should contact him about it.
Prophecy condition in this case is a moot point, If God gives you a message to deliver, you just deliver it, make it public, broadcast it, you do not sit on it , whip people up then tell them they have to pay to hear it. That is evil and wrong on its own. Can you imagine any of the prophets in our Bible going up to people and telling them God has a message, but they must pay to hear it?

Wordgaurdian, God said that He gave us Scripture to reproof, for doctrine and for teaching in righteousness... I ALWAYS need to see what a person preach and teach and show and believe, is in the Bible.

My friend, I was where you were. I went to a church in VDBpark, and also prayed and healed people. Then one night God showed me Matthew 7, and here I was blown away by God's Truth.
Imagine you healed people in the Name of Jesus, and then on the DAY, Jesus tells you.... Go away from me, I NEVER knew you..... Then you say... Jesus, I jealed people in your name... And again He says, GO AWAY FROM ME I NEVER KNEW YOU!
Wordgaurdian, can you imagine the SURPRISE of such a person. That person also BELIEVED he was a SAVED HEALER FROM GOD! But Jesus tells him HE NEVER KNEW HIM.... Then who healed the people? How can a person that GOD NEVER knew heal people, and prophecy and do many miricles.... Well god said that He will have the false teachers do MANY miricles and great works... and they will mislead many (or decieve them) but NOT THE ELECT....
The reason why they CANNOT decieve the elect, is.... They KNOW THE TRUTH and the TRUT MADE THEM FREE from evil deception. My friend I feel good about our conversation, I KNOW God is working on me and you, and HE SAID.....We shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make us free.... Jesus is the Truth and so is the Word of God! (John 17:17)
So this is how I see EVERYTHING about God... God made this wonderful book the Bible, and that Book is our refence to what god wants us to know! I heard people say that we cannot contain or limit God to the Bible, but then I realize they do not even know 1% of that Bible, so I just parted from those people. The Word was SO MUCH MORE RICHER THAN THEM.
This is what I KNOW... That Bible NEVER dissappointed me, Never lied to me, and never decieved me YET, People did many times... knowingly or unknowingly, it does not matter, I should KNOW the TRUTH, not all the wrong teachings... There are way too much WRONG to know by ANY MAN, but EVERYONE can know the RIGHT and the TRUTH! God will and does reveal it to ANYONE that wants to know... God said... We do not have to know all wrong, we only have to knoe what is right and DO THAT!
If you know the Truth, all lies do not fit ANYWAY! So if God gives you a perfect white sheet and says.... THIS IS ME, and somebody wants to add ANY COLOR to the white, it is NOT FITTING! That is why I warn people about ANY SHADE that is not perfectly WHITE!
Wordgaurdian, Jesus even knew the thoughts of the peopel, and I saw way too many things unbiblical to even start on BH. He is not worth the time, let you and I consentrate on Jesus and the Word.
I want to show you one Truth today.... I once even said out loud to God: Lord this Bible is lying to me now! .... And the verse that I refer too is.... 1 John 3:9. Because I believed I was born again (born of God) and that I am heading for heaven to one of the selected chairs next to God..... Boy did God prove me wrong! When I started reading the Bible from the beginning, I realized then, I KNEW NOT GOD AND HE KNEW NOT ME.... But through the Word I started to know Him, because HE WANTS ME TO KNOW HIM. THANK GOD FOR THAT.
This is the amzing Truth,.... God wanted me to read the Bible, with HIM AS MY SOLE TEACHER. And I am not special, God wants it with ALL people that search Him. He is the sole REVELATOR that can REVEAL Scripture to a person. I may qoute and explain, but only GOD can REVEAL and unlock the Scripture for you.
One may recieve a revelation, and he might tell 2000 but God may only enrich 10, It is up to God to determine GROWTH in TRUTH! One may plant another may water but God let grow!

Just so we're clear. I wanted to understand what you think is wrong. So I can see what your viewpoint is. I know of a lady on this site that believes the gift of healing in modern times is of the devil. No I assure you, Zone would go out of her way to say that Benny Hinn is a false teacher, because according to her belief, healing does not take place in today's society. And according to her he would therefore be seen as a false teacher.
And on this specific argument I would have to disagree with her. For God is yesterday, today, tommorow the same. So He is still healing until the end and then their would be no more healing since no one would get sick, hence no more need for healing.
That said... jb made a claim that Benny Hinn gave a false prophecy, because the prophecy did not come out. Ok. Granted. That makes sense. And it is a lot more useful information than go and find out what I am disagreeing about.
So please. I am not ignorant, just as I am sure none on this site are. I merely want to hear all sides of the argument. That is if you have an argument.
Carry gave this as an initiative: that Benny Hinn is obviously a circus freak and does any one of us actually believe him...

If you want to help him, you need to know what you are going to help him with. If I am going to write to Benny Hinn and tell him that he said something wrong, I cannot just go and say he must go and look on all the places people think he is wrong and then come and repent. That man believes just as hard (probably harder) that he is doing the will of God. You will have to tell him exactly what he said is wrong and prove to him why it is wrong and then show him how to correct it and why.
Or is this threat not meant to help Benny Hinn. If not why on earth are we talking about him? Are we not then backbiting?
If you want to talk about someone, the intention should be to aid them. Firstly at least. If you want to say, but he doesn't want to listen. Then you should at the very least be able to say exactly what you are disagreeing with. Not what somebody else disagree with. What you are disagreeing with. Because what if that which you are disagreeing with is, he is actually right? How then can we help you? I don't endorse him, nor do I say everything he says is right. I am saying, please give the statements that are wrong for you. And why you think so. Since this is the Bible study forum. It would make sense that we would discuss the statements and give verses for and against it, until we reach a conclusion. However to simply downgrade somebody, whoever he is. Tim Story, Ray McCaully, Ghandi... are also just names to me... and some of those names you probably never heard of. If one of those people were my best friend. I would have to give you the statements since he is not popular. And we would be discussing the statements as aid to my friend.
So maybe I am a bit slow on the uptake. But I want to know what it is statement wise that he said wrong according to everybody that says he said something wrong or say he is wrong. For if you say he is wrong, then certainly you have the statement.
So I got two questions: One, do you really want to help a brother or do you merely want to talk bad about some guy?
Or Two: If you want to warn them(cc) about a wrong statement made. Then please give the statement and give verses that support it... or at the very least give the statement and then ask if anybody know verses.

I took my Mom had her in line to be prayed for, and everyone in line were told to set down, then he says oh look God healed them. it was all about the tv program. I believe in the gifts and have seen people healed. and others whom everyone just prayed for. This was
the worst thing i have seen, if you dont belive me go to one of his services.
