Both from Contact, the movie, based on the book by Carl Sagan~

Spoken by Jodie Foster's character, Dr. Ellie Arroway, "They should've sent a poet. So beautiful... beautiful... so beautiful, so beautiful, I had no idea," overwhelmed by and expressing the ineffable nature of experiencing a profound, indescribably beautiful celestial event.

First few seconds.

"Ah yes. Silly me."

Makes me smile every time I think of it.

jurassic park- jeff goldblum- " your scientists were so preouccupied with if they could, they stopped to ask if they should"

was not saved when i heard that, now that i am, i see that as we Christians, ( me at the front of the line) sometimes treat sin.

could we? and get forgiven? yes

should we? no.

Just a couple of favorites from "Oh Brother, Where art thou"..

Blind Seer:
You seek a great fortune, you three who are now in chains. You will find a fortune, though it will not be the one you seek. But first... first you must travel a long and difficult road, a road fraught with peril. Mm-hmm. You shall see thangs, wonderful to tell. You shall see a... a cow... on the roof of a cotton house, ha. And, oh, so many startlements. I cannot tell you how long this road shall be, but fear not the obstacles in your path, for fate has vouchsafed your reward. Though the road may wind, yea, your hearts grow weary, still shall ye follow them, even unto your salvation.

And another..
Ulysses Everett McGill:
"Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?"

I'm a total wimp when it comes to horror, violent films etc, however there is one super cheesy film i can watch beginning to end, mainly crying tears of laughter.

It's Psychomania (1973) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067630/ In one scene, the lead actor roars out of his grave on his motorbike, tells his buddies if they kill themselves and believe they'll be resurrected, they'll come back and will never die again. The killer line to me is his girlfriend saying: "Well come on then! What are we waiting for?" They don't wait and the various ways they facilitate their demise still make me cry laughing.

Thankfully, you don't need to watch the whole film, this video on Daily Motion tells you all you need to know about it quickly:

Psychomania (1973 Movie) - In 5 Minutes

You would perhaps find Nicholas Cage's offering from 2023 quite hilarious. Renfield gets rated 6.4 on imdb,
and co-stars Nicholas Hoult in the title role who, after decades as a gruelling servant for Cage's Dracula,
seeks a new purpose in life after attending co-dependent anonymous meetings. Although it was a box-office
bomb, I found it quite amusing throughout. When explaining his Dracula duties to a police officer, Renfield
is asked what
else he does besides procuring victims for Dracula to eat... like what, wash his cape?
And Renfield says, no, it is dry clean only LOLOLOLOLOLOL
