I had heard about Jesus as I studied in a Christian convent school. Apart from the Hindu extremist group that persecute Christians, several Hindus will say they believe in Jesus because they believe all gods are the same. I did too. I didn't know Jesus.

During the most difficult time of my life, I came to know who Jesus is. He showed me I had no hope in anyone else but Him. He used my mentor, also an ex-Hindu and now a missionary in North Carolina to lead me to Him.
Congratulations.

If both people genuinely respect each other and have a healthy, loving relationship, it can certainly work. However, one major downside is that you can't fully share the most important part of your life, your faith. You may never be able to discuss spiritual matters together, go to church as a couple, study God's Word or worship Him together.

Over time, that can become a real source of sadness and frustration, especially if your relationship with Christ is central to your life. It doesn't mean the relationship can't be happy, but it can be a significant challenge in the long run.

It is a great source of frustration not being able to share something so important to you with your partner and, moreover, you will surely have to give it up if you don't want to face misunderstanding, arguments, and confrontations.

In this type of relationship, you lose yourself, you stop being yourself.

Personally, I cannot even imagine being married to someone who doesn't follow Christ. Christ is my identity. I won't be me if I can't talk about Jesus, my faith, can't pray together. Absence of Jesus is darkness. Can light and darkness live together and thrive?

Marriage challenges can exist even between two believers, but if they are dedicated to Christ, their rocky marriage will be able to face and overcome the challenges. An unequally yoked marriage in my opinion, will bring more troubles which could have been avoided.

I completely agree with you. For a Christian, faith is not just one part of life—it is the foundation of everything. Marriage is about sharing your life, your values, your hopes, and your relationship with God. If Christ is at the center of one person's life but not the other's, it creates a gap that is very difficult to bridge.
No marriage is perfect, and Christian couples also face hardships. But when both spouses are committed to Christ, they have the same source of strength, forgiveness, wisdom, and hope. Praying together and seeking God's guidance can make all the difference.
Being equally yoked is not about being better than anyone else; it's about walking in the same direction, with the same ultimate purpose. For me, that is essential for a strong and lasting marriage.

If you wanna date, only date and meet in person, don't do it online, so you can verify whether they're a believer or not. If there's no available partner around, dating app seems to be the only option, then don't date at all.

Thank you for your advice. I agree that meeting someone in person is ideal. I have also heard/read about people being deceived by so-called Christians whom they met in person.

The Lord can do what we can't, be it online or in person. May His perfect will be done.
