Better alone with Jesus than in bad company!
It’s enough to want to attract the attention of people to us, as well as fix our attention in someone, hoping that this person turns the problem away from us. Many times, it was the Creator that bring this problem about us in order that He could glorify Himself through us.
Recall that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights (James 1.17). So, if the solution for your problem hurts the principles of the Holy Scripture, certainly the solution for your problem will cost you dear, much more than the problem that you have at this moment.
I know that, many times, our predicament looks terrible. Notwithstanding, let’s think: the Creator is our Father. Why would He allow something so terrible in our lives without a good reason (see Romans 8.28)? If He doesn’t mind with us, why would He send Jesus to die for us (Romans 8.31-32)? If He wished to see us to suffer (to chastise us for the sake of our sins), He could send us now to the hell.
However, if we are here it is because He has something wonderful to work through us in the middle of the ordeal that we are going through, beyond to prepare us to something better.
So, follow the advice of the Psalmist and have a good day in Christ Jesus:
- “My son, if sinners lure you, do not be willing. If they say, Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood, we will watch secretly for the innocent without cause; let us swallow them up alive as the grave, and whole, as those who go down into the pit; we shall find all precious goods; we shall fill our houses with plunder; cast in your lot among us, and let us have one purse.” (Proverbs 1.10-14).
