The only angels mentioned by name in the Bible are: Michael ( Dan 10:13,21)(Dan 12:1)(Jude 1:9)(Rev12:7), Gabriel (Dan 8:16)(Dan 9:21)(Lk 1:19,26), Lucifer (Isa 14:12), and
Abaddon/Apollyon (Rev 9:11).

It doesn't really explicitly say that Lucifer is an angel in Isaiah 14:12.

The other two you mention are scriptures that do say that they are angels: Michael, which means 'who is like God' and Gabriel, which means 'man of God'. I personally see these as pictures of Jesus, at least in his heavenly sense. The angel of the Lord in Genesis 48 is "The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; " Only God blesses and only Jesus is the redeemer. Not the traditional notion of angels. Daniel 9 calls Gabriel 'the man Gabriel'. If he were the traditional understanding of an angel, he would not be called a man. Further, Michael is the chief messenger (the archangel) and Jesus is the chief messenger. Further, Michael overcomes Satan by the blood of the lamb, the way that Jesus overcomes Satan.

you have started three threads titled "BIBLE FACTS".

rather than start a thread for each FACT you post, why not just add your FACTS to one thread?

that will help in not cluttering the Bible Discussion Forum with multiple threads of the same title.

just a suggestion ...
