I missed tapping the "s" key a second time. Meant to say.... closest (with two "s"'s) not closet. The closest form of poetry.

Thanks for the tip about the psalter. I do not require rhyme. Paradise Lost is unrhymed poetry.

So my definition of troll is different from yours.
Not a troll? Okay, then why does someone that is 59 years old ask pointless questions? A troll wouldn't know what a bible is, and if you want a "bible" of poetry, you don't know what a bible is. A book of bible poetry would not be a bible. A bible is the word of God, not a tome for entertainment. That doesn't need to be explained to a believer or someone who is not a troll.
Words mean something. Use the ones that best convey what you want to say. When people speak clearly, in clear language, there is no room nor reason for assumption. When one doesn't, one can't be perturbed if an assumption is drawn in error.

phil112 did not read my original post. I did not inquire about a bible version completely in poetry. I asked, Is there a Bible version that translated [that was a typo for translates] all the POETRY in the original into English poetry? I have been informed by someone who knows Hebrew that about a third of the old Testament is poetry in the original. I disapprove of translating poetry into prose: more is lost than is necessary.

Exactly. Words mean something. And your words time and again express demeaning hostility much more than they do uplifting kindness; disrespect more so than respect; hatred more so than love.
I tell you, everyone will have to give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be vindicated and by your words you will be condemned.
You might want to incorporate these words of Jesus into your daily life.
I think I understand perfectly, Jed. In fact there are more than 15 (or so) actual Hebrew songs in our Bible. I have a friend who has done extensive research in this area. I'll try to see if he knows of any of the Poetry being gleaned and compiled as a separate work.
